It makes sense that Eveline is angry and the main enemy. She's different like Rosemary. Has powers that can kill, control things she shouldn't be able to. She wanted Ethan and Mia to be her parents, but they refused and rejected her. Rosemary has powers too, and is different. And yet to Eveline, they still chose Rosemary. So she's angry because despite them being similar, they chose Rose instead.

Frankly, I think Eveline was an unstable little psycho from start to finish. I can understand that people will feel pity for her for just wanting to know how it felt to have a family, but she took it too far even before she became attached to Mia and later Ethan. Whenever anyone called her ‘a little bitch,’ I knew they were spot-on by saying it because she never tried to really offer anyone the choice to be her family and she just turned anyone she came across into mold filled monstrosities. In RE7 when she asked out loud why everyone hates her, it just makes me despise her even more because she was never willing to admit that what she did was horrible and died still being a crazy little bitch.

I'm not sure if it's just voice direction or the voice actress' voice changing, but Eveline seems to sound older here. When she talks, it's like a mix of a child and an aged old woman. Unlike in the original RE7, she was always very childlike until the very end. A nice touch to testify how long Eveline has been rotting inside the Megamycete and it's no wonder she's slowly going insane. Kind of sucks how we never got to reconcile with Eveline, especially with how Mia and everyone in Umbrella treated her. The only person who would be able to is probably Rose. Sucks how everyone still treats her as a failure rather than a misstep.

This entire 2nd act was great! The Beneviento house is as scary here as it originally was, and the mother mannequins are a good successor to that giant baby. Nice of Evelyn to show up in Donna’s place for 1 last hurrah too. Still feel sorry for her though. Yes, she’s evil to the end, but she never had a chance to develop any ethics or morals, nevermind a family. By the time this DLC ends Evelyn will never find a family or peace, she’ll float in that little jar of Mold for all eternity…

I think I caught a glimpse of how the afterlife is from this game. When we died our consciousness enter into the ethereal realm and the essence and what's left of our consciousness will become our manifestation in the spirit world. Meaning if I feel angry during my last earthly moment then what's left of my consciousness will be largely anger and my astral manifestation will continue to be an angry person in the astral plane. I will either continue to exist as these consciousness or I can put down my anger and rest. It's a state of awareness manifestation and non awareness. Very much like our earthly world. I don’t think it’s the after life. Ethan Miranda Evi and maybe countless others connected strongly with the mold continue to live in the hive mind. Their physical body’s destroyed but their conscious living on in the mold. That’s why when Miranda saw ethan “manifest” she seemed mostly annoyed by him as i’m sure they had their run ins with each other in the hivemind and neither one can’t die in there as far as we know. Same with Evie, She knows the others are there with her but they seem to ignore her completly or lock her away in her own section making her feel unwanted and question why they only want rose. also now make cense why eveline want a family that much, she was created to be the host for eva but failedin the experiment, she was literally created for have a family and be the perfect miranda daughter but when she failed she fells rejected and become desparate for a family, this make eveline character a tragic villain, she was created as an experiment, a weapon, treated like an object, rejected like trash and everybody wants to kill her because of how dangerous she is and when she finally tought she will have a family when ethan and miranda get traped in the mold world, she was rejected again, I fell a little sorry for her, if she don't kill a lot of people I will fell even more but she becomes evil a destroyed the inocent like the bakers!

Dawg what 💀 Re4 when it came out was by far the biggest departure from the rest of the series. The Plaga in the grand scheme of things was very insignificant. Alls it really did was help Wesker make Uroburos. It’s honestly the least resident evil game in the series besides maybe 5

Kinda. Her consciousness is connected to the mold so as long as the mold lives her mind lives. Her physically body from Re7 is very much dead tho
