Resin Art - Turning a Saw Blade Into a Clock

I decided to turn an old worn out saw blade into a resin art clock! This is a super fun project that anyone could do.

You never miss the time with those hands 😉. Beautiful mix of colors on drop resin piece. Me I would used the saw blade and make silicone mold But that would be slightly costly. 👍

I've seen some people use dixie cups for there pours. They used plastic graduated cups for mixing, then pour into dixie cups for final mix and pour. I don't know if I've seen you do this or not. I'm wondering what the pros and cons are to either paper cups or wax coated paper cups. Wondering if you have any knowledge of this. Thank you in advance.

Hi therre, I live in twin falls Idaho, and was wondering where do you get the burls from ? Is there a place that I could get the cutoffs?

There are lots of people selling burl, search for the Burl Hunter, he's up in OR, there's 2 Tree Boyz Wood, eBay, Facebook groups, and I usually get mine from Ethan Cook ww.aussiburlsusa.com. There are lots more, those are just some I know off the top of my head

I would love to try that with an old saw blade. I wonder if I can maybe get one in my area from someone that would have otherwise thrown it out. Maybe I will try a post on our local Freecycle first to see if anyone would give me one. :D - Heidi

You can find them in thrift stores all the time. I have picked up several with the intention of making my own turning tools. I suppose now I have another idea to make with them.

LOL ba doom ching! I enjoyed it =D I'm not sure about the skulls, I believe he cast them using a silicone mold that he picked up somewhere. I'd check Amazon out, they have lots of random silicone molds

I prefer to use resin, but you could use a number of different things to decorate it
