Awe I'm so sorry for your loss, this will make a wonderful memorial piece for her. Maybe make one with non special flowers 1st just to practice. Or if you have several flowers from her services that works too. If they're kind of closed up more like a bud like the flower I used in this video they don't get as many air bubbles.

Hi, thank so much and thanks for watching. On this I did wait 24 hours between layers but you can pour your next layer as soon as your previous layer starts to gel. Gel time depends on the resin you use. The manufacturer should have it on their website on the products description. I used liquid diamonds on this one and the gel time is 12 hours. So I could have poured the next layers as soon as 12 hours but I waited 24 hours.

Thank you so much and thanks for watching 🤗 this pyramid didn't take a lot of resin to make so I only did the 1st layer with blue to off set yellowing. If the pyramid was bigger and had more clear. I would have added blue to all the clear layers. You can always add blue to your other clear layers if you are using a resin that yellows. Some brands yellow more than others.

No, this mold is huge using uv resin wouldn't be good for a project like this. Uv resin is good for smaller projects like jewelry

Thanks for watching 🤗 The liquid diamonds casting resin is a very thin viscosity and has hardly any bubbles. I kept a close eye on it as I added the rose and moved any bubbles that formed with a toothpick up to the top so I could pop them. I didn't have many bubbles at all on this one 🤗

Yes it's the same it's epoxy resin but some people only call it resin or epoxy. I would use liquid diamonds for that project. It's the same resin I used in this video. It's a very thin viscosity with hardly any bubbles it works great for flower preservation. In today's video I used the liquid diamonds casting resin from the epoxy resin store. Liquid diamonds is great for projects like this because it has very few bubbles and no micro bubbles. Thanks for watching, fresh flowers will leak a ton of bubbles into the resin. They will also turn brown.

I saw another tutorial where someone placed the rose upside and slowly filled in between the petals with epoxy. She said it prevents air pockets I think your tutorial seems easier. Have you had any issues when placing face down. Thanks

You can do that but I haven't really had issues doing it this way. I made sure my roses were extra dry. They had been drying for a few months. You can also dip your rose in epoxy to seal it before you cast it. Let it dry then use it in your pyramid mold. Hi need urgent help. Used one type of epoxy resin for first stage which I ran out of so used new stuff for the rest. Felt set so went to take out of mold only to find point epoxy was still soft and sticky. Can I rescue this?

Thanks for watching. Unfortunately there's no way to save it. It didn't cure properly, which it why it is soft and sticky 😓

@@naptimecreations thanks for your help. I did a few small moulds with that epoxy and they were all the same. Think it must have been faulty. Used different resin since and that is setting between each layer. It's my first time doing epoxy and flower moulds.

@@joywhitehouse8486 That's is so frustrating, I'm sorry. It sounds like it's a bad batch of resin, I would contact the manufacturer and ask them for a refund.

Hi, she is going to love that for a gift. You don't have to fill your pyramid molds up all the way. You can make mini pyramids like this one. For this piece I used about 6oz total. 🤗💜
