Thank you. 😉 A Halloween dangle piece would be fantastic...can't wait to see what you come up with! The shaker pieces are fun to do but still figuring kinks w gluing entire film down (to help reduce the shine of film under resin). The moon at 9:00 was done w iridescent stars and Recollections black holo super chunky glitter and stampendous crystal glitter mix. 😉 Look forward to your next update! 😉❤

+GrimmsCraftingTales i love those stars. we were admiring the ones you added on the backs of some of the cameos. when i make the moons I'll be sure to mention where the inspiration came from.

+Lauren Emmett Thanks, Doll. 😉 You can get a HUGE bag of those stars from Party City for about $10 and a medium size bag (still pretty big) for about $5. Hope that helps. 😉

OMGOSH OMGOSH.....absolutely gorgeous. I am a newbie to this resin stuff....I got a question how can I smooth the edges, on some of mine I have over filled the mold and the sides are very sharp n ruff. Thank you, Debs from Texas

Hi Debbie! Thank you. 😄 You can sand the sides of your pieces with a nail file or by use of a rotary tool such as Dremel. You can also hand sand. I would start w a 600 or 400 grit and work up from there. I touch on finishing your castings in my full resin tutorial. 😊 Hope that helps. 😉 Have fun!

I used clear fingernail polish n it came out like top crystal clear. But I found out hard way it melts plastic beads/gems but won't melt sprinkles (for cake)!?! Any thing else not good for resin? Ty ty. Debs from Texas

Hi Debbie! Some crafters have good results using nail polish w their crafting but I tend to shy away from it as my results have not been to my liking...nail polish is designed to be a relatively weak enamel meant to be removed...and w all of the extra chemicals (formaldehyde etc), I'm not a fan of it in the long run but not so against it as to tell others not to use it. Other things to be aware of: to much water based acrylic paint (for coloring resin) can affect your curing (causing pieces to remain bendy) and some alcohol inks will tint resin beautifully but when cured will have either faded drastically or turn clear altogether (Adirondack purple alcohol ink is a good example). As for glazing (if not doming w resin), I suggest using DuraClear gloss varnish or an acrylic gloss spray (like Krylon or Hobby Lobby's Tree House brand). Experimenting with all kinds of mediums is fun and enlightening in my opinion. 😉 Hope that helped at least a little and have fun w your crafting! ❤️
