Mine is a Lumis 100 VPAP. Wonder if this is the newer model of it. Looks identical apart from mine is silver.

Hi, some AirCurve 10 are black while some are silver. That said, ResMed does have a newer VPAP with the same therapy modes (plus an auto BiPAP mode) as your Lumis 100: the AirCurve 11 VAuto. Confusing when you use the Philips trademark to describe it. RM prefers 'bi-level'.

You're right that ResMed tends to refer to their BiPAP machines as bilevel machines. We tend to refer to most BiPAP machines as well...BiPAPs because it's more commonly used compared to "bilevel" and it's easier to say.

makes no sense why they couldnt have just made one machine with cpap and bilevel features instead of making people have to buy two machines if one doesnt work for them.

That would be more convenient. The AirCurve 10 VAuto BiPAP does have CPAP mode as well but it does not have auto CPAP mode.
