The West Bank was occupied by Jordan in 1948. The Gaza Strip was occupied by Egypt in 1948. Why should Israel give these areas back to the occupiers? That doesn't make any sense. Can someone answer that for me? The British mandate no longer existed since 1948. And there was only one state that emerged on the territory of Palestine. According to the principle uti possidetis juris, shouldn't both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip not be attributed to Israel?

Territory cannot be acquired by war unless it’s Arabs taking the land from Jews obviously
@nikoletapapadopoulou50079 ай бұрын
In my opinion no. Because in the West Bank and Gaza there is an ethic group that called themselves Palestinians. They are connected with this land thousands of years and they want to establish a state for their own, like Israel wanted and they did. Why Israel people have the right and Palestinian don't have this right? Every state have the right to exist. Also Israel doesn't have any right to take these because they don't have any continuing historical connection with the land ( they are absent more from a century) and they don't have a lot of people inside to these territories ( Iam speaking before the illegal settlers) to proclaim the land. I am Greek I don't if you now about Greek history but we had a big empire. It's like me telling the world that I want all today Turkey, Egypt and other countries, because it was mine.

The West Bank and Gaza are both legally part of Israel. From the moment Israel became a state on May 14, 1948, under the International Law of Uti Possidetis Juris, Israel took the borders of the Mandate of Palestine which included Gaza and the West Bank. Israel offered Gaza to Egypt and the West Bank to Jordan in their Peace Treaty agreements. Both Egypt and Jordan said no. The land of Gaza and the West Bank belong to Israel, Israel has treated this land as Disputed Territories.

Acquisition of land impermissible by war... Ok, so then what about the 1948 invasion by fledgling Israel's Muslim neighbours, which led to Jordanian occupation of what is now referred to as the West Bank, and Egyptian occupation of what is referred to as Gaza? They were acquired through an aggressive military joint operation by neighbouring states, where they planned and went through with a military invasion of areas promised to Israel. So, by your definition of legal or illegal acquisition...why are they not addressed in the UN? Also,...does this not refer to offensive wars? Or else, if one country invades another...and then the country attacked strikes back...is the latter to be considered in breach of 242...or the former?

Good point but not relevant. Jordan doesnt occupy the West Bank and Egypt Gaza. On the other hand, Israel still occupies Golan Heights, East Jerusalem, Gaza and South Lebanon.

It is highly relevant, Adegbenga Ogungbeje. As the Mandate to Palestine was militarily invaded by Egypt and Jordan (and other Muslim neighbours accompanying them) when this Mandate was to declare its independence, just like every other country in a.o. the former Ottoman Empire did, as seen in the Treaties signed through the work of The League of Nations and the Mandate Agreements. This has however been totally silenced, and it is high time the silence be broken, and the many lies disproven by historical facts. Every post WW1 border in the ME owes itself to the Mandate Agreements, and NO other state there has been asked to give of their lands to their own minority groups, and there are many. So, please show me how, by actual international treaties, Israel has done anything wrong? And from where in the history of International legislation and action we learn this?

@Eyad Mas Hi. Israel was decided as the name of the new Jewish state to claim independence, and was given a second chance through the Was of Independence, fought when the fledgling Jewish state was attacked by its neighbours when the British left. Prior to the War of independence, there was no statehood called Palestine, but an area referred to as such, by the Jewish population living there. The legal ownership at the time of the attack of this particular Mandate Area was British, since the fall of the Ottoman Empire on the German side in WW1. Prior to WW1 is still was not a state called Palestine, it was just a little part of a huge Empire called the Ottoman Empire. The Mandate of Palestine was just one of many Mandate areas following the break up of both some of the old European and the Turkish empires, which then were portioned into many new states, in time, throughout amongst other, but not at all limited to, the modern Middle East. Every border now existing in the modern Middle East owe their borders to the League of Nation, and the Mandate Agreements.

The masses are controled with language. Language nanipulation has been the bane of all society. If you write law-treaty-documents with poetry it will be subject tu an evolutionary interpretations based upon individual lack of a total understanding. Lack of knowledge is a dangerous thing for men and nations of men. Peace can never be achieved till their is full closure with all the facts. Facts are nouns. Noun things are persons, places and things. All facts get removed from treaties and trusts so white man speaks with forked tongue with his word modificatio technology. A generation or two and what was written for peace treaty changes with time. The demon god for trickery in the courts holds sway upon the nations. Tricks and traps within the courts of contract law create a legal tyrannnical control that fosters fear and war. The only remedy is tu stop the poetry. Stop the modification of language that removes a well defined noun thing intu a fiction that does not exist in now-time. Modification of language makes it an evolutionary illusions of the future or past. They would continually outside the quantum of now-time box thinking in the future and past. Problem is the past is gone and the future has not gotten here yet. A quantum is as a cube. Now-time is a cube. The future is outside the quant of now-time. So is the past outside of nowtime thinking. Above and below is outside now-time cube as well. If it is not in now-time it does not exist. It is fiction writing that nullifies all treaties. There was never value with madified language, it is corrupted from the beginning. Auling from the begining tu hide the lies and true crimminal intent. It takes eight years tu learn fiction format writing. Skill called legalese. One can make red white with it. Prefixes and suffixes assist modification that turn nouns intu adjectivs , pronouns and “dangling participle” verbs. Modification is change, change is motion and motion is verb. You can not show me a verb in your hand. Change a noun intu a verb in contract writing is fraudulent conveyed language. Tbe United States of America. Written this way America which should be a noun is changed intu a “dangling participle” verb.

Janux or whoever is presenting this video is one sided. He does not mention a word about the reason and the moment in which the said territories were occupied . You should watch old videos of the Arab TV and Radio stations with the rallies of bloodthirsty MOM shouting Ytbach el Yahud and many other horrible slogans. He uses the palestinians as it suits him but make several basic mistakes which uninvlved people cannot distinguish or detect. He also fails to mention that in several occasions, his Falestinians (I write this with an "F" because these people can not pronounce a "P" but pretend to be such) had the possibnility to conclude a peace agreement but they always insisted to get GAZA, Yehudah and Shomron and still get a blank Cheque as to the "right of return" . meaning that any palestinian can come to live in Israel etc...
