Huge respect to JL. What a leader and what a bloke. From a pom
@Chabooli6 жыл бұрын
I agree. As a Pom I loved watching him bat, even though it was bittersweet most times. I think JL is a great choice. He loves his baggy and i'm sure he'll restore the reputation of Aussie cricket

Peter Rozee Yes! I like him even though he routinely destroyed us for a laugh

Best of luck JL. Smith & Warner we are with you. As Indian cricket fan, cricket is not cricket unless there is a strong australian team. We want that strong aussie team back.

He seems a really good man. Australia is lucky to have him.

What we saw over 6 weeks ago was the lowest point we have seen, but just like every low point, you move onwards and upwards.

the thing you miss about the underarm ball, is that it was technically within the rules at the time, it wasn't right, but it is nothing compared to ball tampering, as for Steve Bucknor being "bought" there was no evidence of that, as for Merv Hughes, I wouldn't be that surprised since it has been going on since the 70's, and for Glenn McGrath having a slight tussle with Brian Lara wasn't really much, it was when Glenn McGrath was bowling at him, hit Lara's helmet, either by accident or not, but it was Brian Lara that reacted to it. but then again, you missed the point entirely Cricket Classics, Ball tampering isn't on, but sadly the truth is that every team has done it, either though legal methods or illegal, so yes, it was the lowest point.

it has everything to do with team culture. other teams have a great culture that starts from the top, why is it do you think Darren Lehmann stepped aside? because he felt responsible for the culture of the team. that is the first thing that needs to be fixed.
@theflyingdropbear20096 жыл бұрын
it was the win at all costs mentality that was the biggest problem, we saw that earlier in the series against South Africa, when Warner got into serious trouble for his outburst and we had his teammates saying "that the bull was back" and the fact that he instigated it when he and his team was walking off the field. Langer has a ton of work to get the right team culture for Australia, one that doesn't have the win at all costs mentality.

Without a doubt one of the best openers I've ever seen in my whole life and on top of that a real gentleman on & off Field a cricketer our country should be proud having him taking over. All the best JL .

I love this feature of writing the question at the top right as it becomes tougher to understand what the reporter has asked and when its an Australian Reporter ,it makes it even more tougher for Indians

Of course they went all mates club with this appointment. Langer is the epitome of bad culture and should never have been considered if you look at his shield coaching record. Of course cricket Australia went the easy option
@camkav24566 жыл бұрын
What do you mean “bad culture”?!?! He’s just talked about how they have to earn respect and play like the older, tougher Aus sides
@aqeelkhan12716 жыл бұрын
Most dominant batsman, mark tailor, Michel sletar, mark Waugh, Steve Waugh, ponting, gilkrist, warne Magrath till some extent hydon , on the another hand fantastic player, Martin, Langer, mike hussy, MacGill, glyspee are also equally important for the Australia of my time

As soon as the ball starts moving or spinning Australia go to pieces and that is coming from an Australian. They can only bat on highways. To beat India in India that is a tough ask
@సరదాగా6 жыл бұрын
No need to get cocky mate! Maybe when we starting winning series (not solitary tests) outside the subcontinent. We quake in our boots when the ball swings, seams or even on a fast pitch. Let's see how we go in England this summer.
