Professors spoke through their disagreements with each other on some of the most important current legal and policy issues. This event will covered corporate social responsibility. It explored the corporate purpose and how that can be shaped by investors, the marketplace, management/governance, regulators, and legal form. The discussion addressed ESG-an investing principle that prioritizes environmental issues, social issues, and corporate governance-and corporate social responsibility, as well as, more broadly, who gets to decide, monitor, and hold corporations accountable for their actions and prompt them to consider broader stakeholder interests.
