@Saitama _ Mocking media, while not a call for censorship, is still an implication that the beliefs being displayed in said media should be challenged. Also, most people shitting on Rogan don't want him silenced. So much of Shoe's takes come off as like an angsty teen who's insecure about her own independence, trying desperately to appear more mature than she is by acting like adulthood means people can say whatever they want. I mean you can, but can doesn't mean you should. Not knowing the difference is a trait of adolescence. This was a huge issue in the 2015-2018 era of politics where everybody had this exaggerated sense of their own maturity and a lack of deference to others as a result, simply because they had reached the age of adulthood, and June, being a 31 year old grown ass woman, should be well past this point. Her arguments are often emotionally guided by what she thinks is lame and not lame.

2 years ago I would've wholeheartedly agrees with Shoe's statement at the beginning of the video. Joe had Kyle and Bernie on his podcast and pushed back against Dave Rubin and Candace Owens, while at the same giving a lot of other right wing bullshit a pass. It's almost like "talking with anyone" has negative consequences when you have no structured ethical or epistemological system. As though, treating all ideas equally lends credence to the destructive ideas which will inevitably win out in the popular conscience, as bad ideas require little thought or explanation or effort. It's as though the whole notion of a reasonable Joe Rogan was a flimsy facade for what was always a pointedly ideological agenda and some people only recognize it now because the logical consequences of his behavior have finally manifested themselves. He was a dangerous, irresponsible POS back then and he's a dangerous, irresponsible POS today. Joe Rogan didn't change. You did.

Rogan whining about media is the equivalent to the people whining about Howard Stern... these are the two things that are alike - both are non substantive, both are self-victimization and crybully behavior - it's like the most basic bitch form of conservative behavior.

I was skeptical of Shoe's argument, but when she said "fucking" for the twelfth time in 2 and a half minutes, that's what really convinced me. But I never understood the "He's just like listening to a dumb friend to hang out with" argument. Like: If I hang out with a dumb friend and he says stupid stuff, the worst thing that happens is that a couple of other friends or partygoers take home wrong information about something by a person of "equal standing". If Joe Rogan says something stupid, hundreds of thousands of people hear it and a lot take it as gospel because it comes from someone famous.

One of her problems is that she constantly treats politics as something both very serious but also a game. We've been through this song and dance before regarding her friendship with Lauren Southern, but now it's "Media and elites bad, unless they have the aesthetic of a dumbfuck."

Still waiting for her to be worth tolerating. This didn't do her any favors.

Shoe has always felt very unintelligent and easily influenced. Don’t get the appeal.

Not remotely surprised that someone who thinks vulgarity for vulgarity’s sake is funny has the most juvenile take on an issue.

Shoe does know that just because Rogan acts all disengaged isn't the same as him not being ideological.
