Yes! Not only is there a new 707 video after a drought longer n' California's most recent but I also nailed 2 of your choices (Hemispheres and Captain Fantastic)! Great curve-ball with The Blues Brothers but I appreciate why you chose it! Lots of great angles on the choices, I was sure Ziggy Stardust was gettin' a nod, if it only could have been 11, right? Great to see you back in action, keep em' comin' Mark! - Lj

Thanks Lj. Had a feeling I'd hear from you, Yes I love Ziggy. 10 choices just isn't enough. Another classic I totally forgot about was Queen's A night at the Opera. If I did the vid again, I'd boot out Led Zep 1 and put that one in. SSHHH! Don't let Rob know, I said that.

Well alright! It is so great to see you again Mark. Ottavio mentioned that he shoveled a few times today already and we are waiting for a little but of snow as well. This winter just does not want to pass. But like he said, seeing you post again is putting the ultimate cap/ending on this day. Agreed. 'Crime Of the Century' is my favorite that they released too. Ah, nothing like VH too for the long days on the island. It will surely keep you playing air guitar when the batteries on the iPad and phone die out. Another great album. 'Briefcase Full Of Blues' would probably make my DID list too. Definitely in the top 20 for sure. I am not a big fan of live albums, but this album set the bar high. We all thought that the Blues Brothers was going to be a goof but when Briefcase was released everyone knew that they were playing for keeps. Oh yes. I knew that you were going to show the Blimp but I was waiting to see which ones that you were going to show. Excellent choices. I know how much you love Graffiti too so it must have been a tough choice for you. You turned me onto the Teenage Head album. Not an easy album to find mint. But I listened to the whole album and I loved it. > Thanks for the shouts Mark. Again, it was so great to see you again. Made my night for sure. I will be in touch~ Rob/Boston

If I made your night then definitely You, Ottavio, Lj and everyone else who commented made my week. It's so great that there are loyal subscribers and friends out there. I love Physical Graffiti, probably tied with Blimp #1 but Blimp 2 for sure is my favourite, just a lot of memories attached to it. I'm glad you had a chance to listen to the Teenage Head record. it's probably the most important record to me in my whole collection. !979/80 were very rough years for me and this record really helped me get through those times. Also glad that and a little surprised that you kinda agree with me on Thee Blues Brothers album. I know it's not considered to be a "Classic" but it is SOOO much fun. Thanks again for your continuous support and friendship. It means a lot to me.

beninski707 Hi Mark, Awesome response. You probably already know about the Mighty Blimp I, II and III reissues. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition vinyl of all three. I am going to buy the box set as well for Zeppelin I just to have. Here is the best way to look at them all: www.ledzeppelin.com/buy/ I am a little bit angry with the selling prices on the deluxe vinyl sets. But I really want to experience all of the demos, out-takes and the few songs that have never seen the light of day in true remastered sound quality. Let me know what you think of these. Thanks~ Rob~

Once again, thanks for your support of my channel. It's great having loyal subscribers such as your self. Yeah that Reel to Reel has become a focal point in my music room. Thanks for watching my friend.

Where do you get your reel tapes though? I'm having a hard time finding them
@beninski70710 жыл бұрын
SQDLVR I was fortunate enough to find 3 sealed 10" metal tape reels "The Music Tape" from a seller on ebay. They were about $40 a tape though. The Akai cane with 4 empty 10" metal tape reels (the original Akai metal take up reel and 3 with the Maxell logo). The best part is I paid a mere $100 including deck and empty reels. I found this deal in a Kijiji ad. The seller's father had passed and she was selling all his equipment. When I got it home, a good cleaning of switch contacts was needed to get it running perfectly again. Soon after, on another Kijiji ad, I found someone selling a 25 lot of used 7' tapes on plastic reels for $60 I erased them with a bulk eraser and spliced some of them onto the 3 metal maxell reels. Sorry for the long answer. Take care.

Nice choices! I think I'd have Crime of the Century and definitely Zep II on my list, and if a second from the same it would be Houses of the Holy. Hard to chose one Rush album too with so many phases! Hemispheres is awesome but something about Signals also plays well over time. Ever check out 10cc Deceptive Bends? That is a definite top 10 for me; get past the idea of the pop songs and dive into the incredible engineering and production...and the end will leave you very satisfied every time! I'll need a Rundgren fix too, either AWATS or S/A. Thanks for the video. Oh yeah, Leftoverture is awesome too, and Trick of the Tail, and Yes... lol

You know, I am embarrassed to say I have Crime of the Century and I don't think I have ever played it - I will fix that this weekend, Mark.

Kris, you need to get into that record. Every track shines. I love the entire album. If I had to pick favourites, they would probably be Hide in Your Shell and Rudy. The recording is phenomenal and the music which is a little less commercial than Breakfast in America is just amazing. Great to hear from you Kris.

I had to respond to this one Mikko. It was very difficult just picking ten. I could have easily named 100. Great idea for a thread. Loved your video.
