Rest in Peace John Amos

John Amos has passed away at the age of 84. He's one of America's most well-known actors and blazed the trail for black artists. He starred as Kunta Kinte in "Roots," James Evans on "Good Times" and of course as Lisa's dad in "Coming to America." He stood up for black culture and stood against tropes, when he protested the direction "Good Times" was taking JJ's character, his own character was killed off on the show but his legacy lived on in reruns. Stand for something or fall for anything.

I saw this movie in the theaters. I always chuckled when I see it play on ABC as a family movie. The unedited version was a hard R rating 😆
