Never forget, Skedetcher, bringer of smiles, creator of Man. [Having been through severe mental health issues of my own, take this to heart: If you're struggling, but feel like it's not a big deal or you don't want to take the time from professionals that could be used for others who might "need it more", *stop talking yourself out of recovery and get the process of it started.* Even if you don't "need" it yet, it's much more preferable to prevent a worse situation down the line than to let things get there, it's more efficient in terms of time and resources, and it's far less painful. I wish i'd began earlier. Your life isn't only your own, take good care of it.]

@ericfieldman33 минут бұрын
@gigatrooper5098 there's a lot of bad or inefficient work in that field so I've heard, but it doesn't mean there's no way out. The best thing you can do is not have any particular expectation of what you are and what you deserve because of it, and don't convince yourself you're trying everything when you try everything you know of or have thought about before. Be very flexible in how you think about things and don't make conclusions without the hardest evidence, and never make it a deal that the problem is you as a person forever. It takes introspection to find what matters to you fundamentally and research to find a place where it applies to get a good life, but trust that no matter how long it takes, finding that good life for even a year or two will make up for a lot of crap on the way, and the skills you learn to make things right in the first place can act to make a lot more in life tolerable. If you're tenacious and cognitively loose that's a great combo to maximize the chances

my brother had to hold an old man back from the edge of a building the other day, and now this terrible thing has happened to another person. It's genuinely one of the biggest issues we have to face as a people. From Skedetcher's last Twitter post it seems he'd been suffering with intense guilt his whole life, and the fact in all the time from then to now he couldn't be or wasn't properly helped is a tragedy. We don't know his exact situation, so I can't say anything for sure, but we as a whole people *need* to do something about this sort of stuff. I don't know the old man's full story either, but from what my brother relayed is he was hurting for years and nobody was helping him, his wife even seemed to be promoting his attempts and reportedly said she was disappointed it didn't happen and knew he'd try again. The fact that such a situation can take place in any world shows just how poorly we as a people seem to treat and handle these issues, something needs to be done. I don't know what or how but something must be done.

The Arkham games in my youth were one of the biggest influences on my personality, tastes and the person I came to be. I don't comment oft but Arkham- subreddit and games were special to me. To have seen Batman's legacy marred by the Suicide Squad game felt to me disdainful on the decade long series that Arkham was. A tragedy isn't defined by the darkness cause there's plenty of dark around- that isn't what makes a tragedy. A true tragedy is when there comes a light, which takes away the darkness- gives you a true glimpse of what the world could be and then is taken away further. I hope Skedetcher knew that he saved the legacy of my childhood hero for me and ended it on a major note. Thank you- to Skedetcher and the community.
