Go Blue! Those rest stops along the Ohio Turnpike are probably the nicest ones anywhere. Nicest ones I've seen.

I had to go look up this "seafood" video, mentioned. Very cool! I think that if I was equipped with all of the salt water, coral tanks, etc. I'd ask to grant a pardon to one of each of the live sea critters before the lid comes down, then bring them home and add them to the tanks.

That's a real nice rest stop. We in California don't have anything close to what you have in Michigan. Great informative video.

These last couple vlogs have been fun for me because you're in my old stomping grounds. I grew up about halfway between Toledo and Cleveland and went to college in Toledo. Stopped at that rest area many, MANY times on my way to and from school.

When you place text on the screen I think it should linger longer than you think. I always have to pause or rewind to be able to read all the text.

I lived at 9.5 mile and Little Mack for a year starting in 1968 then Westland, MI (moved to Alabama in 1976) and it is fun seeing the roads I traveled so long ago as a young man.

Rest stops are relative. Out West they might be nothing more than a pinyon pine or sagebrush to hide behind; bring your own shovel and paper

Americans with the "No Photos/videos" issue has really taken off. My thoughts are that they are afraid of legal entanglements or someone using their images in something less than savory. We Americans are with our guard up in this day and age. I think if they really knew what you were doing the videos for, they wouldn't have an issue with it. It certainly isn't like it was years ago; people wanted to be photographed like you have talked about in China. Times are a-changing. Good job on the Videos man! Keep up the work and faith! We appreciate them for sure!

Another great video ! We have a lot of hang ups in the US and it's not just filming. Lol. And yes a lot of people are paranoid. Other countries are much more laid back which i enjoy more.

I know exactly the smell you're talking about that is everywhere in China. I've asked my Chinese wife about it but she can't smell it. The only time I've smelt it here in Canada is at a now closed Chinese supermarket, so I think it must be a spice commonly used in authentic Chinese food.

even gorverment has set a law of taking a photo on people done the illegal things to get them a fines where many volunteers autonomously are hanging around the street to take a shot the cars parked on the disabled parking zone so on .

That is one of the better funded rest area. Try going to the rest area in New Mexico. You'll wish you were in China unless it's a private travel center
@darrencr50056 жыл бұрын
Ya, those New Mexico half walls and sometimes no door stalls are not very private. But Chinese stalls will make you want to puke.

You are right, that portion of I-80 is a toll road so all of the rest stops are very nice.

In Germany you have to ask people in general (there are exception e.g it's a public person or police officer ) if it's ok to take a photo insofar as these persons are not merely incidental to the subject of the picture. It's especially a subject if you earn money with it (KZbin?!). We call it "right to one's own image" Video surveillance is only allowed on your own property - at public places only law enforcement can do it. Yes, it's a cultural topic but in general i agree, even it makes my life as a hobby streetphotographer not easy :-) BTW: Nice Vid .... :-) :-)

yes, i know such tinfoil hat people :-) ... it reminds me to a situation a few weeks ago in the park close to my location - there was a aggressiv woman who exclaim against me "do not take any pictures of my dog" my reaction was only shaking my head .... what a world :-)

I was at that exact same reststop about a year ago. Ohio reststops much better than Indiana! I bet that there's footage of the guy telling you not to record him. Hahaha Don't want to be recorded, stay home with the drapes closed.

It’s other people’s right not to be on camera you can’t just film people maybe in China but not here

The Park BMX not when they are in a public place.
@mjfraser046 жыл бұрын
@theparkbmx Your sentence isn't very coherent. What does a person's right to not be on camera have do with anything? Nobody is/was trying to take anybody's rights away. But if you would like to go down that road...Matt has more of a "right" to film in a public place than that guy has the "right" to not be filmed (which again, is not a coherent thought). Even if Matt continued filming him after being asked not to, all that would mean is that Matt would have been a dick; it would not mean he infringed on anybody's "rights".
@TimsTrikeTrips6 жыл бұрын
The question wasn't whether people have a right not to be filmed. The question was why are they so uptight about being filmed and what do they think is going to happen if they are?
@tidalgardens6 жыл бұрын
When you are out in public you 100% do not have a right to privacy.
@theparkbmx48536 жыл бұрын
Tidal Gardens Inc. I agree but some people don’t want to be filmed and that should be respected right
