FYI: That code entered for the sensor is a calibration code for that particular sensor. Giving the transmitter any code you like to get it started could give inaccurate readings and possibly more calibrations to get it accurate. If you plan on restarting the sensor, make a note of the number of the sensor and enter the same number again on restart.

@type3me What in the world men’s dress shirt collar stays lol…I am a huge tomboy and wore a suit to my partners sisters wedding last year lol…!!! Love your videos by the way. I also have a question concerning swimming and my blood sugars going high. I am on the Tandem 95% of the time and every weekend I put on an Omnipod Dash for swimming as I am in Canada I am still getting my Basal Insulin but my blood sugars almost always go high with swimming and I can’t figure out why. This past weekend before getting into the pool I was 9mmol/L so I gave myself 1.5units of insulin but when getting out of the pool my sugars had climbed to 16mmol/L and I felt quite nauseated and when I got home to check for ketones the urine stick was the darkest it could be. I can’t get out of the pool freely to connect and unconnect from my Tandem as I assist my partner in the pool who has Cerebral Palsy and is in a wheelchair. On the Omnipod Dash I am not even coming close to achieving my 70% Time in Range which is very frustrating. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you entering your pool sessions as exercise? Exercise will always increase your blood sugars. There's an option to enter exercise which allows the Omnipod to adjust your insulin based on the length (time of exercise 1,2,3 hours of exercise & so on) click the 3 lines on Omnipod 5 then choose activity. I have to do this when taking the dog out for walk or even doing housework It makes a big difference for me It does initially spike but doesn't stay there It comes down at a nice gradual pace

Hi Lindsey thank you for the comment. It’s difficult to tell since everyone’s body reacts differently to a variety of exercise types and efforts. My guess is your body is going through Gluconeogenesis in anticipation of needing more energy for your activity. My suggestion would be to repeat this activity 3 times with few variables. Calculate your average glucose rise then prebolus for that amount while doing that activity going forward. Your Endo may also have some great advice.

@@Shalommaranatha7 I am on the Omnipod Dash as I am in Canada and we don’t have the Omnipod 5 so I don’t have the option on the Dash to enter exercise. Thank-you so much for your advice. I truly wish that the Tandem T:Slim X2 was waterproof lol…!!!

Is this to just endlessly reuse same sensor?

Yes, but be advised that the accuracy suffers with extended use. Use this as a way to help you in a pinch.

What width pick do you use? Some are thicker than others. It should say right on the pick.

It's a guitar Center Pick without markings, if I had to guess I would say Medium

If you don’t have two guitar picks what else can I use to remove the transmitter as I have tried the blood strip method with no luck whatsoever?

Another alternative are men's dress shirt collor stays.
