Thanks for the video. You're a bit of a fast talker but it was very informative and easy to set up and deploy.

Yeah. I talk fast. Always have. Added this to my website years ago: dbtechreviews.com/i-talk-fast

Is there any solution to add the label directly in stacks? Thanks!
@DBTechYT3 жыл бұрын
You either have to add it to an existing container the way I showed or redeploy the stack with something like this in it: labels: - "deunhealth.restart.on.unhealthy=true"

Well, I did have a comment showcasing just that. Guess it got removed...

@Jeff Mendocino No idea. I've had a big issue lately of comments going missing. Like... I'll get an email saying someone commented and then I'll go to my dashboard and it's not there. Not even if I search for the user or the comment. No idea what's going on lately.

How do you add your label if you aren't using portainer?
@DBTechYTАй бұрын
Then you'd have to manually add labels to each of the containers you want to manage via whatever method you used to originally install them

what have you done that portainer accept the version 3.6 docker compose ? I needed to change it to version 3.3, thanks
@DBTechYT3 жыл бұрын
I'm just on the most current version of Portainer. That's it.

Thank you very much👍 for the video. I hope it continues. I want a special explanation for installing Openstack and megacloud on docker🙂

This is a great video. I actually have an issue with my qbittorrent stack that I setup off of another one of your videos. It runs gluetun and qbittorrent. The issue is the gluetun container randomly becomes unhealthy every couple of weeks or so. Nothing in the logs other than it's unhealthy. I was using another autoheal image to restart that container automatically. The problem is then qbittorrent doesn't work since it needs to come up after the gluetun container. Hopefully I explained the issue well enough, but I have been trying to figure out a way to restart a container when another one restarts. So if gluetun restarts, then restart the qbittorrent container. Not sure if you know of anything or maybe even a better way to address this.

Totally makes sense. The developer is working on a solution for it with the cascading restarts.
@moisthoagie19923 жыл бұрын
Oh that is good to know. I'll keep an eye on it.

Why would one need to use DeUnhealth, if Docker would restart the unhealthy containers automatically as per the configuration in the compose file?
@DBTechYT3 жыл бұрын
Because sometimes "restart-always" doesn't work on unhealthy containers. This helps ensure that unhealthy containers get restarted appropriately.

@@DBTechYT WOW! I got a direct response from Mr. DB Tech himself! Thanks Sir! And I haven't noticed that happening to my environments, but I'll remember if I ever run into an issue like that.

Is this still working and/or still safe to install in 2024 (almost 2025), coz the last update on dockerhub was on 2021?

Looks like this hasn't been touched in a long time. It might still work, but I'm not sure I would trust it at this point
