I’m currently battling a terrible flare up that send me to the hospital with my heart rate going from 60 to 160. The weeks after have been hell. My body was in fight or flight for a week straight with no sleep whatsoever. My tsh was .6 in the hospital. 5.6 4 days later. And then 24 5 days after that. My antibodies were at 311. I lost 7 pounds in one week. I’m slowly getting better. No more hot flashes and despair and insane anxiety but hyperglycemia symptoms every few hours if I don’t eat along with elevated cortisol in the mornings and evenings. My pcp told me it’s anxiety and tried putting me on antidepressants. I said no. It’s been 4 weeks since the er visit and I’m doing better but still insomniac. I found a functional medicine doctor and she’s amazing. Started taking 4000 vitamin c every day but still have brain fog and my insomnia was gone for about 3 days when I started on 1.5 ldn and again insomnia started again. It’s been 5 days. Should I keep going? Will the insomnia go away? I’m sensitive to literally everything but have even taken melatonin and it’s not helping me sleep. Should I keep at it? My Synthroid is 125 and no one wants to increase my dose or change my medication to armor.

I think diluting a 50 mg tablet is actually pretty simple and saves a lot of money. 50 mg diluted in 50 ml of distilled water gives you 1 mg per ml. If you’re on opiates, you can use ultra low dose by further diluting to .1 mg per ml. It’s just math.

Lose the T4 and take only T3. Just a thought🤷. I've been on T3 for over 20 years now because T4 did not agree with my body as well as most patients. The body doesn't use T4, only T3 and most people can't convert T4 into T3. When you only take T3 your body is actually getting what it uses.

Since I have been on it for so long, I have zero clue if it is doing anything for me, but I don’t dare stop taking it as my immune system needs all the modulation it can get. I'm on 90 mg Nature-Throid, 10 mcg Liothyronine, and 3 mg LDN. At first I wasn't seeing any benefit. I did the baking soda test for stomach acid and turns out I had low acid. I fixed that with Betaine HCL w/ Pepsin and I immediately started feeling great! My resting HR has been in the 40s for years and it's now at 61! I'm hopeful that over time I can lower my T3/T4 meds. Ps. The vivid dreams are a thing. Lol I don't lose sleep tho. Very restful. 🙂
@katecarlisle83832 жыл бұрын
Pardon my ignorance but what is the baking soda test?🤔😳
@stephinitelynutritiondriven2 жыл бұрын
@@katecarlisle8383 It's a simple test to see if you have low stomach acid. Mix 1/4 tsp baking soda in about 4 oz of water. Drink it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. If you don't burp within 3 to 4 minutes, you are low on stomach acid. Low acid causes all sorts of problems like nutrient deficiencies, inability to absorb medications, etc.

Hi Dr. I had half my thyroid removed a little over a year ago because 2 parathyroid glands were growing through my thyroid. I dont have an endocrinologist but I tell my primary dr what I want to take. I started taking Tirosint and Liothyronine because levothyroxine was making me sick. I stopped taking the T3 for a couple months and was not taking my Tirosint as I should. I kept feeling like something was really wrong so I had my labs done last week. My tsh went from 7.11 to 0.283 and my T4 is now 0.72. Is is possible to be hypo/hyperthyroid at the same time or is this possibly a pituitary/hypothalamus issue?
