The manager being in on it would explain how they didn't notice the amount of product that wasn't equaling revenue. They should have had a log in the where house keeping track of how many trays were being made daily. They would have been able to catch this a lot faster.

So this seemed like a staged video rather than real investigation to me. The reactions didn't seem real. The owner not knowing that product was missing at the beginning is a big red flag. 40% of their product is being stolen. It's presented as as an ongoing issue rather than something that's been happening a week or 2. There's just no way for the manager to hide 40% of the stock walking out the door. The boss is going to notice when they're buying 40% more meat but not selling 40% more burgers.

I totally forgot that there were so many accurate knockoffs at restaurants of KFC chicken, McDonalds Big Mac Sauce, Wendy's Frosties, etc. Oh wait.... there are none. Those fake recipes online don't compare, they try, but are never the same. Yes, a recipe can be secret. Even if you figure out the ingredients you have to get the proportions right, which is a mind bogglingly difficult task. Your comment just goes to slow your lack of knowledge when cooking.
