ohhhh Emmy how God works so perfect Ive been needing this message for the longest. thank you for sharing so people like me can relate and be able to let go and really let God, lol. Im currently also working as a social media marketer/ another part time, as a full time student, and also trying to start my own podcast, and build my own brand as a content creator++ and im turning 20 just in a couple weeks....... idk why im a workaholic God blessed me with so many opportunities this year. and really has worked through me in strengthening my relationship with Him and truly following Jesus. I been getting too caught up wanting to spread the seeds, but I myself am not even the most fertile soil-- so im gonna let God water me and really let go of what isn't allowing me to fit God in. thank you sister. you don't know how much of an impact you've made with your podcasts. I pray that God continuously blesses you with the goodness that you are doing of discipling others. praise the Prince of peace and The King of kings forever

I'm so excited for you Sis 🤗 I wish I could just reach out and give you a big hug. I'm 32 and I've been on a rollercoaster ride when it comes to resting, God reveals one aspect and when I've thought I had it packed down 🤣 God reveals a deeper truth concerning rest. The journey is beautiful, the learning, conviction, discipline, correction is such a blessing that makes a stronger bond with The Lord. I pray God's will continue to be done in you and through you 🙏

I love this.. and needed to hear this!!! Great reminder so thank you for this.. often times we are working towards a goal and not even enjoying the fruits of our labor. All the amazing things god has provided. Gotta take time to stop and enjoy and rest! It’s just as important and working hard and a lot of us tend to forget this. What’s the point of working hard if you don’t even enjoy the life you have or take time to rest and sit in it. Amazing message 😊

I love this video I can relate about being a workaholic and this video really encouraged me and also want to say you talked about the little girl inside it remind me of childhood memories and can be like the childhood trauma that a lot on young adults do stuggle or never heal properly from it at all but if God lead you to talk about it let his will be done and God will use you and bless Shalom sister✨🩷

Hey emi! I have a question, you are a female Christian leader but in 1 Timothy 2 Paul gave us the instruction that men have the lead in church. I'm a woman and I want to something similar in the future as you, but I am scared since it isn't really something that God incouraged (I can be wrong since I'm a christian for a few months) so my question is if you can make a video about it (if you want to do it) Anyways God bless you ❤

Hey girl! I know you directed this comment at Emy, but I recently read a book that might answer your questions. It’s called “A Year in Biblical Womanhood” by Rachel Held Evans. It’s a great book where she investigates what biblical womanhood looks like. There’s a whole chapter on the verses you’re talking about. Check it out if you’re interested!

Do not limit the gift of God in you, let Him shine through you. Rom 16 talk a lot about women in service/ministry, Paul even called Priscilla his fellow worker in Christ Jesus (Rom 16:3). It’s not a mistake Mary was the first to see the resurrected Jesus, and He gave her a message to deliver to the disciples (John 20:16-18). God uses women to send His message, it’s okay for women to preach, He can use you, let Him use you! It’s the same Spirit of God in a man and a woman (Gal 3:28), He can speak through you and use you. 1 Tim 2 can be further explained by 1 Corinth 14:34-36. Vs 36 is key for understanding, Paul asks a rhetorical question to the church in Corinth. Why, because they upheld traditional teachings over the Word of God. It’s very common with the Jews. If Jesus can send Mary a message to the disciples, I believe He did that to break the traditional norm, that’s why they didn’t even believe her when she told them, her being female has a lot to do with it I believe. So do not limit yourself, God can and will use you. On the topic of leadership, it’s very clear in scripture, old and New Testament. It’s a man’s duty. However, in situations where a man isn’t able to lead for whatever reason. God can use a woman, its not the ideal model (because I haven’t seen it in the early church, and New Testament as a whole) but it can happen (ie Deborah the judge). Summary - women can serve in ministry, various capacities including teaching/preaching. Leadership is a man’s job, but women can lead also when it’s needed. This is my understanding on the topic, Blessings!
