I was addictive to pornography and masturbation for about 5 years and have been on my sobriety journey for the last 3 years now and I thank God for washing me clean and delivering me from my chains. I’m far from perfect but I’m so much better than who I used to be. I’m praying for everyone who is addicted to anything rn that God delivers you and shows you his love and grace as He has shown me! It’s not easy but trust me, it is so worth it.

I have been struggling with an addiction to maldaptive daydreaming and lust/born snf have been lukewarm for the past year, maybe two? I kid you not today I sat down with God and told me that I’m done like I’m done calling myself Christian and not living the part and taking your mercy and grace for granted. So todsy about two hours ago I repented and I totally get it. It’s hard breaking addictions, I’ve tried SO many times to break my addcition and it backfired every single time. And even know I know that, I’m going to fall but fall and get back up. Proverbs 24:16.

start fasting n reading that Bible straight away. show Jesus that you’re choosing Him over maladaptive daydreaming. “Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.” Hebrews 2:18. use this scripture and pray to Jesus to help you with temptation. you got this🙏🏾

This is so relatable. I’m in the process of letting go of my weed pen. I’ve been addicted to smoking since I was 14, currently 29. I gave my life to the lord a year ago and I tried stopping. Unfortunately I stopped eating and lost so much weight. My body seems so be so dependent, I’m fearful of withdrawals again. But this message is super encouraging to try it again…God is worth it all.

Praise the lord and bless you sis, iwas addicted to anything that could get me some kind of high, was burned into my lust trying to mess around with women and pornography due to my depression from experiences with fallen angels and deceiving spirits from the things I used to get into. It caused horrible anti social skills even with my family and I didn’t even have love for my siblings because I didn’t know what it was or didn’t care to because such a dark place iwas in. But then he freed me from those spirits and is working on my anxiety that had been stored up for 5-6 whole years. I was saved in 2022 but was still falling and felt like a hypocrite and like he regretted saving as if he didn’t already know lol💀. But through that time making music helped me because it was away I could express myself talking to only him us having a conversation. Now fast forward my anxiety has lowered I went to a church for the first time last Sunday and I haven’t cried since iwas like 10 vulnerably but iwas in heavy heavy tears lol in a good way. That is my lord. And that is our god. So used to being so buffed up with pride I’d never come to thing I’d love another masculine figure as much as this holy man/ almighty God. I didn’t have a father and he taught me what a man was when i was 22, he taught me what it means to really love someone and he also taught me that he does not lie and has showed it to me. Praise him🖤

Great podcast . If you really want to overcome your addiction, you must get rid of all distractions, and then seek the Lord continually by HEARING not just reading , the word of God . For about 90 days.

My two addictions that are so hard to break because they are so socially accepted: overeating (in general, salt, chocolate & ice cream) & people pleasing. I have to still eat so I can’t just cut it out of my life and there is such a thin line between serving others and people pleasing. 😢

I’m struggling with my phone addiction and food addiction. I was vegan for 5 months and absolutely changed my life. Better health mentally and lost almost 15 pounds. My body was healed from so many things and I truly feel God telling me to go back to that. For my health and my life, But emotionally, I eat… then regret it. I am Struggling now with over eating and always on my phone. Trying to fast, but always fall short! Praying for God to help me. I want my body to be the best temple for Him.

how do all these videos find me whenever I need it. God is good. I’m in the process of breaking the bond of cannabis over me after smoking for years. It’s been really interesting noticing how dependent I was becoming on weed. Any little thing that bothered me, I wasn’t able to just sit with that feeling. I had to take my mind off of it immediately and numb myself. That was scary for me when I realized it. I was always one of those people saying “you can’t get addicted to cannabis!” Yeah that’s cap 🧢 😂. The feeling of shame made it harder for me to continue smoking and also trying to stop. I would feel shame when smoking, and shame about trying to quit through my own power. I’m learning to now sit with the uncomfortable thoughts and the pain. It feels good to feel things now and not numb it away. Is it okay to feel like a loser for unknowingly stumbling into an addiction? I thought I was better than this but I can’t shame and beat myself up over it. Only thing I can do is make better decisions now. Does anyone deal with this? 🗿

**UPDATE** I’ve stopped smoking for over two weeks now. I think I’m officially past it now. I feel fine and sleep much better. Also I’m having dreams return back to me. 10/10 would recommend 🗿

My addiction is bingeing tv shows. I don’t eat, stay hydrated or spend time with God when I’m bingeing. I leave everything in a corner and that’s my center and I dislike it a lot. God has helped me with it and continuously showing me what I need to remove to be delivered from that addiction. Take it to God and He’ll always show you the way.
