David was a true follower of God and a man after God's own heart ❤

Even I prayed a prayer which is dangerous and God heard my prayer and answered it. "Lord, let my life be an encouragement to the Church". God took it seriously. Whenever I lack faith to believe and pray God, I remember this and pray God. I am such a useless person , even spiritual eyes cannot discern me. My worth is found in God's Love.

The love of God is greater far🎼 Than tongue or pen can ever tell. It goes beyond the highest star And reaches to the lowest hell. The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win; His erring child He reconciled And pardoned from his sin. O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure- The saints’ and angels’ song.

Wow, pursue God over self improvement! What a potent idea shared so clearly in such little time. A nugget for anyone especially us men. Thank you, Pastor Guzik.

I find so much hope in this. That despite our many failings, our story can have a happy ending like David's. And what a comparison with Solomon! Powerful stuff.

Could we with ink the ocean fill🎼🎶, And were the skies of parchment made; Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade; To write the love of God above Would drain the ocean dry; Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Though stretched from sky to sky. O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure- The saints’ and angels’ song.

In my lesson book for small group at church it talked about finishing well in our Christian walk. The author of the book mentioned people in the Bible that didn’t finish well. He mentioned that David ended up half way there. He said David didn’t finish well but didn’t finish poorly. He said that after David sinned greatly, he started going down from there. He fell apart. His kingdom declined and it has never reversed. So he said that David did not finish the race in the best way possible. This really bothered me. I don’t see David like that. He is such a testimony for all of us. Thank you Pastor David for sharing about King David and the man of God that he was.

King Solomon was given much, and indeed blessed much. Again God here gave him an incredible amount of GRACE to allow him to do the things he did. Yet his problem was not only indulgence and lack of control not taught to him at an early age either by Bathsheba or David, but that he knew certain women he loved had nothing to do with the God he was instructed in, knew and loved and walked with as a good beginning. But was Solomon once saved, always saved? It is a good topic for PAstor David to delve into, isn't it? It usually doesn't matter how you start out in a marathon race, it is - did you finish it, and how do you fare at the end? Better than the start? Continuing in the faith to go past the obstacles and complete the race despite talking to yourself like a mad man thru out the race. Foreign gods and idolatry in addition to allowing himself to indulge in every good thing, was his downfall, but was it permanent? The end of Ecclesiastes the Kohlet Solomon's personal journey may indicate he did come around, that is unless the last part was written by Samuel or others. I like to think no one had access to the king's book while he was alive, after all his personal journal probably was as guarded as his cups by the cup bearer. What did Solomon learn here at the end, before his last gasp of breath and life ... he ending of the book sums up its message: "Fear God and keep his commandments for God will bring every deed to judgment." This gives some hope he repented and came around, guess we will not know until we are translated but it would be a welcome sight in heaven I would think (great kings of Israel's dynasty); Some scholars suggest 12:13-14 were an addition by a more orthodox author than the original writer - if this is true, then it may be a sad end indeed - (that the epilogue was added later was first proposed by Samuel ibn Tibbon); others[who?] think it is likely the work of the original author. I like to think Solomon completed his work, he always did want to please his mother and father, and that upbringing may have brought him full circle at the end, maybe.

Did she left me, finding me unclean?. Else she might thought her feelings as love. In this recession period feelings disappeared and so her love. She said, even they might forget you but I don't.

Pastor David Guzik, you spoke about all her sacrifices and love towards me. But these people who live with her family saying that she is not interested in me. Also they said, she have no restrictions to make a call to me. But she never called me. Is she loving me?. Please help my depression. Is she there for me?. It is she who started looking at me first, she should have responsibility on this love right?

Hi David, thank you for your teachings. I’ve been blessed by them so far. I first started listening to pastor Paul of Calvary chapel Ontario and now I listen to you too! Q: how does Matthew 5:28-29 refer to Solomon? Thanks for your consideration. Shalom, George

In Matthew 6, Jesus is teaching about not worrying, and instead, that are to trust God. Jesus then says that God takes care of all things, even the flowers of the field, which are here today and then gone tomorrow. The flowers of the field are amazingly beautiful, even more beautiful than Solomon in all his fine clothing, etc. If God can care for then flowers which are even more beautiful than Solomon, then he can care for those who trust him. I hope that this helps.

Key Point: David truly repented. When Nathan showed up, it was the Showdown at High Noon, and he did not disappoint, for even David knew what needed to be done for such a man. Had David not repented, most likely he would had also gone the way of Saul. A lot of people just think of David as one and done with his heinous multi-layered crime with Bathsheba, that also led to murder, cover up and being a hypocrite if he told his family to do as I say, but not as I do. But, this has a longer tail ... I suspect David was a man also of the world, and God was very very patient with him, in trying to correct him. It later played out in Solomon with the over 1,000 women, most of us have a hard time with one. Back in the day before David was king, but I think married to Michal, he and his men were out for some food after a war, and a foolish man did not give he and his men that food. The wise lady Abigail literally threw herself at him, and said don't kill my man, you can have me. A few days later, God took out her husband and though wise and pretty David shortly thereafter had his way with her, eventually he had I think no less than 20 women in his own life's harem. God allows free will, and men think they can control their destiny, but passion will come up, and hold your neck down in the water until you are dead hopeless and drowned. Jesus is the Only Way of Hope to free us from the bondage and chains of sin, especially sexual sin. Just ask Samson, there is a man who knew about chains, and broke a few, but was also broken by his inability to not control himself in the candy or baked goods store. Men cannot play with FIRE and not expect to be burned.
