Tomorrow (Wednesday the 13th) I'm using leftovers to make chicken and Dumplings for lunch for me, chicken salad for my husband's lunch. For supper were having sloppy Joe's from the ground beef I batch cooked this week for a few meals, I'm using stuff from my freezer to prep items for our Yuletide gathering ❤

Taco soup sounds wonderful. I keep meaning to make some with my left overs too but my girls dont allow left-overs of mexican , taco or anything like that. Over the past 2 months my plans of taco soup ends up being spicy veggie soup because they keep eating all the meat. Up side? I have a lot of spicy veggie soup in my home-canned inventory now. I need to can some beans too. Thanks for the reminder. My family does not like red or pink kidney beans, they love white kidney beans (cannelini) so we do black, red, white (cannelini and navy)and they have to have their pintos for their refried beans. It is shaping up to be a very busy winter holiday for us all here.

I’m a rebel at heart, I would water bath that soup for a hour and a half myself. Same time i used for my chilli. Yeah i know people would freak out, but I find different times by watching how others can in different countries. So I’m comfortable doing it like that.

The taco soup looked amazing. I bet that'll be a tasty quick supper. I absolutely saved the link for that garlic Parmesan sauce. The Buffalo wild wings one has too much of a kick for my family so I've been iffy about trying other brands in case theirs is just as spicy. Making my own sounds much better.

Thank you for your videos! I am new to canning and beans are easy to do. What are some good recipes you can show us that you use your beans in? I have a very limited recipe base!
@SouthernWifeEverydayLife Жыл бұрын
I use beans in a ton of recipes. Soups, cow boy beans, homemade baked beans, we eat black beans as a side with taco night, Chili, white chicken chili, you can make refried beans from cooked pintos, etc!

I came across your channel and I love everything you do and share with us!!! I can't remember which video I saw it on that you made but you were making your bagel dough and you put it in a bread machine. I was curious what difference it makes putting it in the bread machine vs leaving it out on the counter to proof? I really want to make some bagels using your recipe but I was just curious about that part because I don't have a bread machine. Would you recommend getting one? Thank you again so much for being such an awesome person!!
@SouthernWifeEverydayLife Жыл бұрын
Welcome! You don’t need a bread machine, you can make any recipe on the counter. I do both, but I really love the convenience for the bread machine. Counter vs machine is time. The machine does everything for you, mixes, kneads and cuts the time down because it gets warm when proofing. I love my bread machines I have two lol

Have you ever had a soup that you threw together from leftovers that just didn't turn out? And if so, what do you do with it at that point? I made a soup the other day, that I don't know what in the world was wrong with it, but it did not taste right at all and no matter what I did, I could not fix it. I drained all the water from it, bagged it up and froze it as dog food because I just could not figure out what else to do with it. I will add all the veggies into the homemade dog food I make. Hopefully, they will eat it.
