What I find incredible is how this video was created, and this being taken for granted is the best part of it, first as it looks and feels so natural you do not notice it, and second how difficult and time consuming it is to create something like this, all those camera angles and shots while actually doing this restoration, which is by itself a difficult and complicated job. Simply magnificent!

Incroyable, cette rénovation, difficile à imaginer quand on voit l'état de la montre au départ. J'adore Breitling, par contre je suis surpris de la taille du spacer, le boîtier est disproportionné par rapport au mouvement, c'est une 46 ? Interesting how it was in such good shape under the destroyed crystal. How do you keep track of all the different small parts? Like if one gear is 25 and another 27 tooth so visually they might look the same
@melody37412 жыл бұрын
They might look the same but they won’t fit in the same place. If you understand the (far more simple than you expext) mechanism of a watch you know there is only one part per function, and things like the diameter of the wheel, the position and size of its pinion, and the pivot size all makes it really obvious. I as a beginner despite not organizing the wheels never had an issue putting them back in the right place, although it is a little bit puzzle-ish to know which order they go back in as some are pinion on top and some are pinion on the bottom
@melody37412 жыл бұрын
So they cover each other up making you have to assemble in order
@xmasinpacific2 жыл бұрын
There aren't that many parts really - this particular movement is quite modern in construction which lends it self to repair quite nicely. You don't have to count the teeth - wheels tend to go bigger to smaller from the barrel down to the escapement. Screws are generally similar - occasionally color coded - plate screws for example will the the same across the entire 2800 series of movements. Not sure why you would re jewel the bridge a new one could be gotten easy enough; not that you couldn't do it, but a bridge is probably only 20 dollars. You send it back to the factory and its replaced not re jewelled. With an auto oiler you can oil the escapement without removing the cap jewel and incabloc shock protectors. Clearly from the video a new bezel insert was installed but not shown.
