Looks like it just came out of the pro shop in 1962. Nice looking golf club. Spaulding had some pretty clubs. I have two wedges I’d like to have done. One is a Ram Gene Littler pitching wedge, the other is a Pedersen Sand wedge. Mid sixties I reckon for both. Sweet striking clubs. Thanks

Amazing so many of us learned to play golf with clubs that are 100x harder to hit than today's stuff. How many of us had a 2 iron if you missed it by half an inch your hands felt it for 3 days? I should send you my old Wilson Dyna Power Dual Wedge.

Thank you. It's just a hobby. For the grooves, I use a hand hald groove sharper. There's a link to one on my Amazon store in the description if you want to see it.

A strong degreaser or even acetone. You'll have to rinse it off with distilled water and do the "water break test" to make sure you see no beads or droplets of water. The water has to sheet off the club. Check out my "Is this clean?" video from a few months ago to see what I mean.

Amazing! Tell us about that belt sander? Is it an attachment for a grinder?

It is. There's a link in the description to my Amazon store if you want to see it and read about it. It just bolts onto the grinder using the existing screw holes and turns it into a belt sander. The scotch Brite belts really save me time on that first mow-down of scratches and chatter. Take a look. It's under the "polishing" section of the store front.

It's the most important part. Quality will suffer.

What do you mix with the muriatic acid? How long do you leave it in for? What do you mix with baking soda to cut the acid?

It's water and acid. Add the acid to the water, not water to acid. I mix about 70/30 acid/water. Same with the baking soda. Just tap water. This removes rust from steel but it will start its process of re-rusting as soon as it's exposed again, so get to work!

Hi Brad, long time viewer, amazing work! Just wondering what you use to strip the nickel/chrome plating? And is that baking soda for the neutraliser? Thinking of refurbing an old set of titleist blades, any reccomendations would be much appreciated

The acid dip removes the rust and the chrome, leaving the nickel untouched. There's also a chrome stripper solution you can use with the wand. I don't strip the nickel since I'm just going to re-add it onto the club. The manufacturers plating is quite thick so I take advantage of that additional layer. Edit: Yes, it's baking soda.

What is the gel substance you add to the ferrule before using the torch to remove the head? What does the gel do?

It's from Golf Works. It's supposed to be a heat barrier to protect the ferrules from melting. But, I've murdered so many ferrules at this point, I'm now just playing hitman with them. It does work, though. But you still need to practice caution when you get close to the plastic, or it will bubble and then it's RIP, Ferrule.

​@@BradMeehanThank you for replying. I love your videos. I bought a beat up Spalding Touring Pro Series TP Mills putter recently and I'm working on sanding it. I don't have tools but it's looking a whole lot better then when I bought it. I started with 220 grit and working my way down. I don't plan on reselling it. But atheistically, I like seeing at a nice looking flatstick when I'm putting 😊. Heck.I put better with it than any expensive putter I've owned. Including a Scotty. Keep making videos. They are fantastic!!
