Wow. It's a good job you're a young bloke, Steve. There's enough work there for about 300 years.

I just love seeing the variety of cars and the variety of conditions they're in. Of course I most want to see something get done on the Sonett since I owned one for 20 years, but it's all fun to see!

I’m just blown away at how much work you get done in a short period of time. Love seeing that the Lectra is going to make a come back. The SAAB Sonnet is a very worthy project and I’m excited to see how it progresses. The Trail Wrecker has some amazing upgrades coming, so of course I’m on pins and needles to see what it does. Finally, and closest to my heart is the work you have done and plans you have for the Land Rover Discovery XD. Can’t wait to see you take her out on an adventure. She’s looking great and I’m feeling nostalgic. I just realized three vehicles I mentioned are yellow. Maybe I have a problem!😂😅😊

I use to do scaffold work at the Solihull Land rover factory in the 90s and you use to see the XD on the dirt track ( saying that I think it was a camel version ), I suppose you could say it was the start of the corporate land rover experience. I also saw the last mini running out of the Rover Longbridge plant and the last ones had Great Britain land map on the front badge from memory. Our gaffer purchased a 3 series bmw 325i sport and was told don't bring that hear again by Rover, next week he turned up in a gold Montego that leaked oil like a sieve.

Love your channel. I found it because I have a 1960 Sunbeam Alpine and was looking for content. The interesting thing I noticed if that you have the ideal shop, what we all dream of, but space wise you end up having the same amount of working space per car that I have with a single car garage! Haha. Love it, thanks for rescuing and sharing the cool old British stuff!

You are living the dream. Do you do all the work yourself or do you bring in help??
@BJHolloway1Ай бұрын
Steve your videos are most illuminating and interesting but it appears we only see a small part of your work. I am guessing that you personally do your own video post production which is time consuming. Have you considered getting somebody to do your video post prodcution which may give you an oppurtunity for more contnet to upload on to KZbin?
@ThisWeekWithCarsАй бұрын
Yes I do all of the filming and editing myself but that’s not why I only show some things. If I had a larger audience to make the filming worth while I would do more but currently I only film what I think people would most want to see.
@ThisWeekWithCarsАй бұрын
One other reason some things are not filmed is because it slows the process down by two to three times and if I just need it done I may not have time to waste to film it.

Lots of great cars. Does having the original valve covers for the Tiger really prove you have the original engine? If there is nothing on the block, then couldn't someone have swapped in a date correct engine and and installed the valve covers it came with?

@ThisWeekWithCarsАй бұрын
It can but if I can get an original even better.
@mundanestuffАй бұрын
that was my first thought, looks like a banister railing, but I can see why he would want original. It's a rub-rail, surely they made a crap-ton of spares, no?

I used to see the surplus ones for sale, but as it's a wear item maybe the stock has finally been used up.
@daveshongkongchinachannelАй бұрын
Personally I don't like wraps on cars although if done well, it can be hard to tell. The 944 would look good if just resprayed in it's original colour and as you're going to rally it, it doesn't need to look concours.
