The quality of Maurice Lacroix is always high and worthwhile, glad to see that you gave it back life. The dial face of this watch with its guillochetting is simply beautiful❤️. Components seem to gold or brass which haven’t been abused of life🤩. Hope the owner appreciates this fine ladies watch and restoration which was done to it.👌👍

Hi i love your videos and good work you do. Im subscribed to your channel. Whats the reason that hairspring is bent?
I starting working on one that's for a Rado, original movement was chewed up by an incompetent "watchmaker" and I happen to have a new one but the original has a higher canon pinon, higher minute wheel ect. So, now I basically have to disassemble most of it. (Never bang a watch like that!).

This channel is so therapeutic and informative, i love it. @2:52 you removed a reverse thread screw, how do you identify a reverse thread screw, by looking at the gear rotation?
@RedDeadRestoration4 жыл бұрын
The crown wheel screw is always reverse threaded. Sometimes they are marked with several parallel lines on top of the screw.
@Chermeay4 жыл бұрын
Crown wheel is usually secured with reverse thread screw
I salute your skills with abundant vigor. How does one keep track of all those gears and clips and and where they go when it's time to reassemble? How many years does it take to learn how to do this?
@RedDeadRestoration4 жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍 It's hard to say how long it takes to learn it. I'm doing this now for maybe 6 years. But with interruptions 😉 Nevertheless I'm still learning something new on how to make this job easier.
