Restore your Mach 1 Shaker

Restore the finish of your Mach 1 shaker with Forever Black dye. The kit I bought from Amazon included a pre-cleaner and a foam paint brush style applicator.

How many coats did you apply to it? An updated video or picture would be great.

It only lasted about 6 months. I didn’t want to keep putting it on every year, so I ended up painting it. I used satin black from a rattle can a couple years ago. It’s still holding up. It looks pretty good, but not as good as the ones where people get them powder coated.

I'm tired of putting trim restorer/oils on mine. Been a year, any update shot?

Jose Sanchez So far, it's still looking good without any trim products on it. You could checkout some recent pics on my Instagram @ab_mach1. Maybe I can make a video update in June. That will be exactly a year.

Looking good, did you remove the rubber gasket from the shaker?

Yup. If I remember correctly, the shaker seal/gasket is sandwiched between the top and bottom sections of the shaker.

@@leemoknows i was just gonna hit mine with some black enamel spray paint, but some of the fins on mine were nicked slightly and i just couldn't leave it alone lol. Ill let you know how mine comes out.
