The 1935 Chevrolet Standard cars are series EC. The ED series you mention is a Master with a front axle, the Master with Knee Action is a series EA and the 1/2 ton trucks were series EB. ALL 1935 Chevy cars and trucks used the 207 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder engine. This engine was modified and used again in 1936.The 216 engine was introduced in 1937. I have owned Chevy vehicles from this era, including a 1935 Standard (series EC) coupe. for the last 52 years. I have almost every piece of printed material that GM produced, regarding these Cars and trucks. I can assure you that this information is 100% correct.

The engine is not a 216, it is a 207 cubic inch engine which is correct for 1935.

207 ci Stovebolt is mounted in the EA Master. This Coupe is a ED Standard, here we can hear a 181 ci. The 216 ci was available only from 1936.
