I love these old boats. I remember when I was young my dad had a Skeeter that was almost just like that but opposite colors it was red with a black stripe and let me tell you that thing was fast with a 175 mercury on the back of it.

I was thinking about getting on of those Bauer buffers from Harbor Freight. I did the wet sanding and hand polished. Just seems like the buffer would be much better.

Great boat and great video! I love watching people fixing up these old bad boats! The buffing made that gel coat shine! I love those old bass boat consoles as well. Have you done anything else since this video? I would love to see a overall layout of the boat. Anyways, good job and tight lines!!

Yes I still have it! It runs great as long as I change the impeller every year lol. I buffed and polished the whole thing as well. I get compliments almost every time I’m at the ramp

It’s a good motor. But it overheats a little when it idles too long
