I've watched several of your boat fix-ups, and enjoyed every one, though I am land-locked, elderly, and not a boat person. I just appreciate the way you work on your project boats and usually, or I should say always, come out with a great result, and make a bit of money for your trouble when you sell. One thing - those center-consoles are very popular in Florida, so much so that I am surprised that an old dirty boat goes for as much as it did - $5900 including taxes and auction fees? I would have guessed more like $2500, but I guess a 90 hp engine alone costs more than $5900.

Amazing shots, especially the drone shots. Really captures the zen of cruising on the water. There is just something else about the freedom of open water and honestly it doesn't matter what gets you there. It could be something tuned up fresh of the line, a rebuild that gives a watercraft a second life in glamour, or something old but gold (rocking an '83 Lund Mr Pike and couldn't be happier). Whatever gets you there is special and your own.

Dude... you just inspired me to go this route for my first boat. I used to be a mechanic, then started working on aircraft about 15 years ago, and now fabricate wiring harness for aircraft/install them. I feel like all of my life skills have culminated into the ability to do something like this without stressing out one bit! lol I was looking at getting something like a new skiff until the inflation thing happened and prices jacked to $30k dollars or more. That price for me would also require a loan... which would also add in an exorbinate interest rate now. $4.5k plus new items should be much more friendly to the savings account. No loan required. How much did the repairs costs set you back since you did the work yourself?
