This might be the sign i need to get my old Performa 6300 running

I've been playing on PC for 10 years now. I'm nearly 21 and I've only recently got into PC "building" I tried to upgrade my motherboard and got a cooler, I'd never modified a PC before except RAM sticks and a graphics card removal so I messed it up and got it fixed for $110ish. I very recently got a new PSU and a 4070 12G DUAL EVO (my case is pretty small hence me getting this card) I took apart my PC on my kitchen table and got to work pulling out every cable in my motherboard. Long story short I thought I bricked my PC several times but I eventually got my PC working with a new PSU set up with no issues. I was so happy I got it working I yelled. Even if it was something so minimal it felt so good. After a few videos I came across your content and I love it! I usually struggle watching videos that are technical but your content is so entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for making my least favourite part about PC building fun and interesting again!

Matlab?

@@TheBcoolGuy lol - not on those clunkers! And for me not for a few years I don’t think… at least, I became properly aware of Matlab in the mid-00’s.

@@KrooTon Honestly, I'm a bit too young to have used it. I know it from a King of the Hill KZbin Poop where a male student asks a female student how to get or use matlab. The audio is just 'matlab?' with that text gliding over the screen in parallax with the background.

@@IgnoreMe-KillerRoo I misremembered. It's Bobby and Connie. It's a DurhamrockerZ vid. I can't find which one it was in and I don't wanna spend the time find it, but I found the joke uploaded separately as "KZbin Poop: MATLAB" by a Greg who currently has a white profile picture and 224 subscribers.

I've got this machine's "older brother" fully decked out. Performa 640CD DOS Compatible, with TV tuner. It's literally the same everything except logic board... and even then it's pretty much a 640's logic board with a PPC chip slapped in place of the 68LC040. Also, wanted to let you know I'm really enjoying your content!

I remember that those IR ports were used with an optional remote control that was sold and allowed for people to use their Mac as a CD music player (all Macs could play music off CD, but the remote let you control it like a hi-fi).

I had the exact same one, and Doom II worked just fine on Mac OS 8.5. I made my own CD, so it might be an extension problem.

It's missing the L2 cache stick near RAM. You'll get much better performance with some L2 ram.
