I got a load of cast off lawnmower blades from work. Been using them to practice making blades out of. Working on a machete of my own right now. That was a beautiful piece of hardware. Love your humor and your channel. Be safe.

Wow, that spine was mushroomed over really badly! Someone got too enthusiastic about batoning. Also, that handle material is AWESOME! The hex-inlaid micarta looks fantastic (especially the green -- love that colour).

A genuine restoration ! You see a few that seem fake like they've buggered the item up deliberately. The formula is a good one. ✔️

Can't beat a Martindale. I use mine for roughing out large spoons, I recently used it to battle some stingies in the garden too 👍 Awesome job, keep up the good work 🤙

That came out good. Nice piece, the fact that it was an army issue makes it a lot cooler. My first thought was that you had the scales and needed an excuse to use them until you explained where it came from.

Great idea using the hdpe blocks while gluing up! Nothing sticks to that stuff properly!

Didn't realize sandhumping was so effective for polishing... Never question a master. My repertoire has expanded.

I have one of those machetes, (martindale), I have decided I like the shape but not much else, bought some A2 and going to have a go at making my own, that handle material is cool, not seen that before!

I have one of the newer Martindale machetes just like that. It was a waste of money, though, because the blade was warped--the whole thing was curved to the left, so I sent it back.
