Yes, this is what I also did. I replaced my battery without chip, then backup iPhone through iCloud and 3utools. In few days I need to downgrade iOs and then update again to 18.1

I had my iphone 12 mini battery replaced. At the time it was on ios 17.5 and battery remained the same as before. To fix battery health should i install 17.4 ios version and then do this recalibration or while installing 17.4 it will be fixed as well ? Its important so please answer.

Can I remove the tag on flex after flashing? So when I insert the battery with original bms after flashing without tag on flex, 100% is still displayed. My question is whether the old battery capacity is displayed after an iOS update

I have tried to flash iOS 18 and check "fix battery health" but 3utools give error and flash is not complete. 3utools error says: "unable to exit restore mode". If I try to fix battery health with iOS 17.7 the error doesn't happen. Is iOS18 even harder to restore 100% battery health? Any solutions?

You don't need to click on fix battery health for the ios18. Just click flash and it will do it automatically

What happend if the replacement lf the battery, iphone 12, is made with an ios versión lower than 17.4? I mean if the bms is tranfered to the new battery and health+ cycles reprogramed vía tag flex, would it stil show baterry health after upgrading to ios 17.4? Or this issue only affects if you try to replace the battery on ios 17.4 or later?

it's one action. i downgrade from 18.0 to 17.7 after battery health fixed, i upgraded again to 18.0 through my phone.. battery health did not go back

After a regular battery replacement, the battery health will gradually improve. If it only improves slightly, it's important to consider whether the replacement battery is brand new or refurbished. Is the battery made of pure cobalt or ternary materials? What type of protection board is used? Is the original Apple protection board reused? If the original protection board is used and the battery has undergone numerous cycles, it may require a refresh.
