Greetings from Florida in the USA! You are my favorite bonsai teacher. Love your teaching style. It looked fast to me because I am a novice. The good news is I can rewatch anything I may have missed. I would rather too fast and interesting, than too slow and boring.

Great video. I love your easy-going anti-dogmatic approach. As a beginner, I sometimes get scared doing anything to my pre-bonsai trees at all because of all the "don't do this" and "don't do that" advice from the experts. Your channel is very stimulating !!

Hi Anne! Long videos are great, the whole appeal of your channel is showcasing your work and your experience. And although it may seem repetitive, repetition and practice are great for learning! Just give us you, and I can assure you that anyone that is not yet interested in bonsai will be in the first 40 seconds of the video!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge of bonsai. Would it possible if you can do a lesson how to style and care for cedar bonsais. Especially how to create pads. I just added a cedar Lebanon into my collection. The pads of the tree are very dense and I wonder should I thinning it out to allowed sunlight to reach the pads. I noticed that there are some smaller branches are dying back from the lack of light. Again, thank you. I look forward to see more videos of your bonsais.

Very nice video Anne, thank you. I don’t mind the longer videos, actually benefit from the repetition of your process with the trees. As far as that part of the hand, I would refer to that as the “knife edge” of one’s hand. Our Spring is here in Michigan, trees are waking up, my larch has many new cones!

@@MadamBonsai2023 Native species like Larch, Spruce, Pine, all Junipers, Oak, Elm, Thuja, Hemlock. Japanese Maples also but they require protection from deep frost in a sheltered location. Trident Maples don’t usually survive unless in a temperature controlled greenhouse.

You need not worry about boring us! Your vids are extremely informative. I've returned to the art of Bonsai at the ripe old age of 68 and am looking forward to seeing the fruits of my "labor" in 10 - 20 years! 🌳❤ I do have a question for you Ann. I have a Star Juniper in a cascade style. It has a limb that doesn't fit the cascade style. I'm thinking of turning it into a deadwood limb to add some character. I've never done this before and would like to know what I should do.

So nice of you 68 :) so happy you share 10years ahead me with ages Labor tree it mean you are in Australia then ?
