It took me 6 hrs to do that, but im no mechanic. I wanted to do it myself because i wanted to see if the intake side was dirty. It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be but i vacuumed it out anyways. Got some experience out of it, some new tools and still saved myself a ton of money from what i was quoted to have it installed at a shop.

Thats the best part of doing the installs is when you do them yourself and save money! Plus I'm a firm believer that nobody will take care of your vehicle better than yourself!

I did my 2007.5 6.7 this past summer. Best mod that I could've done, really woke up the truck. My original grid heater had 280,000mi. on it when I did the Banks grid heater delete and new Airintake along with new Banks Inercooler Tubes. My original grid heater looked almost new when I unbolted the orginal airintake, but I did delete my truck at 20,000mi. Can't wait to see the turbo set up when it's back from powder coating. Hell yeah, it's definitely a good way to wake up the engine and get easier air into the cylinders. The boost tubes are an absolute must on these 4th gens as well!

Love your presentations there boss!! Very well done. Say, who in your opinion makes the very best most durable serpentine belt and who makes the best tensioner as well? Also, in one of your vids you mentioned a mechanical replacement for the fan clutch on these. Something from Ford if im not mistaken. I'd love to know what your recommendation is there. I've got a 2012 6.7 in a one ton 4x with air, and it's time for me to replace some things with upgrades and I want to do it right. My #6 injector line to the head started a slow leak. Couldn’t fit a full size open end back there so I ended up using a crow foot 3/4..Aloha🤙🏽

Did the same delete and intake horn on my 2016. I drilled and welded an aluminum bung onto mine so I could run the coil style heater as I live in a colder climate and need it on occasion.

I thought about doing that as well! I'm just a fan of the engine heating up to operating temps as soon as possible but my last truck I didn't have one and had no issues without it.

My grid heater looked fine too, and i live where it gets used alot 9 months of the year. I love the banks kits, they really think of everything needed.

Illusion cherry is an awesome color. My rock crawler chassis is Illusion cherry. I have a 2019 Ram 3500 HO that will be getting a Banks monster ram! I'm retired Air Force (aircraft maintenance), so it's cool hearing the aircraft in the background.

That Banks fuel line is so sweat the other intakes have their manifolds all jacked up and you air flow is all messed up but the Backs has straight shot in to the intake look inside and you can see for your self. Banks does it right so you get the most for your money !!

So I’ve had my RDS turbo on my truck for a couple weeks now and so far it hasn’t shown any signs of wanting to explode yet and I’m always checking the turbine wheel and so far nothing is coming loose knock on wood lol. It sucks that yours blow up but the stainless diesel turbo looks sick AF can’t wait to see the set up completed.

I think mine is stuck on. I've never heard it kick on. Winter time takes forever to get to temp. Come to a stop goes to quarter temp .

Yea man these common rails don't have issues as bad in the cold compared to the heui injection system trucks and the old naturally aspirated diesel engines. Happy Thanksgiving as well!

When we do the fan clutch conversion, do we need something to plug into the harness under the engine where our old fan clutch harness plugs into? Is there like a plug in cooler we can purchase for our trucks?

Nothing plugs into the old harness. It won't cause a check engine light.

Run away diesel you're so lucky... Did you take the grid heater nut off? Usually the failure point is under the nut, do to the electrical current. I changed out mine and it wasn't faulty but its usually under the nut. The shaft falls off with the nut.😅

Hey brother I have a 2016 3500 and when I went to change the ccv filter I noticed the previous owner stripped one bolt so I can’t tighten it. Any suggestion for me.

Get another valve cover. You can try changing the Rosanne fitting but u can find a valve cover from junk yard for cheap or ebay.

Being its gonna be 2nd gen swapped and the turbos will be visible, why dont you get the exhaust side sahracoated to keep them looking new? Honest question. Just wondering if there is a reason.

Don’t say that ! Their would be six glow plugs and we have a 1 grid heater that’s best on the market and that Banks intake horn has a option to have them to put their grid heater in that intake manifold .
