I owned a white 2000 lightning for about 13 years. I miss it so much, a mechanic auctioned it off while I was in the hospital sick. I loved keeping that truck spotless . show and race ready. Watching this brings back those memories, not that mine was ever dirty like this red one. Its nice to see all the steps you take, very much how I would do it. I'm definitely writing down the name of that wheel cleaner. Good show my boy

My late grandfather had a 2003 Lightning which was also red he bought brand new. Man that thing was so awesome. I got to take it around the block a few times but never got to open her up on the highway. He took me for a ride and really stepped on it a few timed. Was such a cool truck. They ended up selling it around 2010 with only 30k miles on it to a rich collector who had multiple Lightnings in his garage. I just wonder how she looks today.

I can’t hold it. Are you associated with detail geek? It just seems like a similar setup, but nice job.

Good cleaning, but might need to consider if under coating suspension parts like that is a good idea. Individually sanding each part and taping off the bushings and connections points at minimum for any undercoat. The way you did it is just gonna peel, water will get trapped in there, and the bushings gonna get gunked...up and not move freely. Gotta be careful with ABS sensor too. I learned a lot from your cleaning, so just giving my advice right back at ya :) coming from a guy who pulled apart brakes on 98 Ford escort zx2, and rebuilt with basic tools. Resurfaced rotors, in the driveway, new pads, bled my brakes and drives hard with no problems for a year now. I'd say fluid film is a better alternative, to repel water, and not clog up your suspension, letting it move freely. Or just leave the old grease on it. Cleaning off old grease is not always worth it, if it's behind the wheel, and still protects from rust 🤷‍♂️ I'll be back again to learn more of your amazing cleaning and degreasing skills tho! 👌🏼🔥💯

You made this truck look as though it was well maintained, always garaged, no pets or smoke. My goodness you are a master at your craft. You should teach classes on detailing.

My life isn’t complete until I have this vehicle. I currently have a Ford F-150 2001 lariat V8 4.6L super cab and I like it. Same color and all. Just bigger. Very convenient truck because if anything breaks down the parts are affordable and everywhere. Just a few adjustments to her and she’ll be ready. I desperately want a lightning. That’s my dream vehicle. I’m gonna work my ass off to acquire one of these.

Just a recommendation. Apply the degreaser to a rag when cleaning around electric accessories "door lock/window switches" as they dont react well to fluids. I'm a mechanic who has replaced numerous switches directly after a very thoroughly detailed vehicle. But you did a incredible job.
