I’ve just done this job on 2010 Fiesta and put a long socket extension bar through centre of old bushes - drilled some rubber while levering my long bar and old bushes came out very easy!!!

Nice video but I don't think its a good idea to refit the new bushing by drawing it in by the core - you could end up damaging the new bushing. The best approach is to use a cup that is the same size as the outer casing and draw it in that way. There is a bit of a profile on the circumference but doesn't interfere too much with the installation.

Seen several videos on how to do this, some show the bush is inserted from the inside to the outer. Question is does it matter, mine currently is inserted opposite to how you show it, bought used so don't know if it is correct.

Loose hack saw blade easier than a drill to cut rubber. Hack saw blade in back to front to cut through the plastic. Fit poly bushes and no special tools needed.

Don't forget the threaded bar doesn't last very long. You will be replacing it every couple of bushes! Next time just stick poly bushes in.

Get Yr self a tin of rubber grease .. red stuff and makes jobs easier . Also don't effect rubber like norm grease does . 😮

Not supposed to grease bushings for installation - they are supposed to be a tight friction fit and using grease could cause them to rotate. Best to use a bit of washing-up liquid as that still helps with installation but will will dry off.
@thurgogopro53389 күн бұрын
Grease is a no no. The bush is not supposed to twist and grease may cause this

Pulling in using the inner tube is not the correct method. Use the correct tool and it pulls on the outer solid part of the bush

Although it is the incorrect method by pulling on the inner tube
