The dual dichotomy between Sokka and Katara on how they deal with the death of their mother is seldom discussed. I think it goes a longer way for Sokka’s character than even Katara’s because it’s hidden under layers of self doubt, trauma, and toxic masculinity. Maybe I’ll make a video about this someday, thanks for the conversation fanalysis.
