Every time I watch R32 scrap moves, I have to ask myself "Did R32s 3380-3381 make the cut or are they going to be scrapped?" Shame such a unique pair hasn't made the preservation list--at least from my knowledge. R32 3381 is the one with the R30 blind end and would've been a unique R32 to preserve.

I’m a former NYC motorman….. the rebuilt R32 and R38 cars were my favorite fleets….I enjoyed operating them both on the A and C lines

I lived in Rockaway Beach and I worked in Manhattan for 2 years. Getting an R38 or R32 A Express made the trip a little more enjoyable. That was back when they only ran Express during rush hours.

Me too. I was about 6 years old when the R32s first came on line. And as I have said inn other posts when the R32s first came out I hated them. My preferred and favorite trains back then were the old R1's - R9's, the R10's, R14's, LowV's, and BMT Triplex. In those days I saw the R32's as being too neat, too bright, too quiet, and infringing upon the territory of the trains that I really liked. But as time went on I grew to like the R32's, In fact it's sad to see them go.
