@@BertronHampton-jj8hk his mother was freed pretty quickly after anakin was. Watto had to sell her after losing everything in the race. Lars bought and freed her. She also actively avoided being found by anyone associated with anakin as she felt his attachment to her wouldn’t prevent him from living up to his potential.

After seeing his mother's tortured and starved body dying in his arms, I can't really blame him! Yes, he was brutal and vicious, but how many people wouldn't do the same in his place? It was his mother!

I’d understand if he hadn’t killed everyone including women and children. The tuskens took and tortured shmi because other settlers had killed tuskens. So both sides were murdering with broad strokes. He killed women and children. It’s literally a war crime. Since anakin killed women and children, would other tuskens be justified in murdering all of mos eisley?
