Great video! Although Kyp wasn't Luke's first padawan, that would be Kam Solusar who became a great jedi

And people think that Luke was 'perfect' in Legends. He screwed up sooo much in Legends that it wasn't even funny. 😅 But he never gave up.
@psyopticprodigy2427Ай бұрын
Isn't that the point that Luke should never have been perfect? He was only really given a crash course in how to be a Jedi.
@TaraCicoraАй бұрын
@@psyopticprodigy2427 Yes, that is exactly that point. He never was, nor should ever be 'perfect'. He had no idea how to teach. It was a hell of a learning curve though.

@TaraCicora I agree thats what made luke such a good character

Perfection is an illusion the good part of Luke character is he never gave up in Legends everyday is a challenge that’s the whole point being a Jedi.

Worth noting, Gantoris wasn't Luke's first padawan. He had Rayf and Jem before the events of the Jedi Academy trilogy. Granted, both died. But then, so did Gantoris. Luke was also teaching Kam Solusar before he took on Gantoris, and Kam survived all the way through the Vong war.

Whether it's in Legends or in Canon: the light side is a fine blade, and so is Master Skywalker.

Honestly I prefer the way Luke recruited his in all ages it makes sense he didn’t have much information the old order so he had to base it off his own experience sure they have their up and down but my part favorite of Luke Jedi order they are believers of redemption.

I love the fact that I can count how many of his students turned to the dark side with two hands.

That's still nothing. There was a happy guy named Flint, a son of Jedi, who wanted a training and to be a rebel, but it was when Luke just started his own path to Jedihood, so Luke felt not ready to be a teacher. This feeling of being in his mind spurned, beneath notice, plus tragic deaths of his beloved mother and his best pal because in his mind rebels were too weak to protect them (especially his mom) from the Empire who invaded his planet was enough to find a teacher and even a surrogate father in Darth Vader himself, who moved by Flint's pain (looong before even Prequel Trilogy took place) took the young man in, first as a Stormtrooper, than as a true Sith Apprentice. Guess how newly christened Lord Flint felt towards Luke after Endor, after the death of his mentor, his new family?

Woah, another Flint fan in the wild?! Flint was honestly the biggest missed opportunity from the old Marvel comics. Look at how amazing Lumiya's story ended up being. Flint fans were robbed.
