It was the saddest time for me as a child in Milwaukee.

Understand how you felt, is amazing how a team leaves a city, only to go to another and create what the Braves have done in Atlanta….as a child do remember those early days, during 1965 and their first full season 1966 in the beautiful newly built Atlanta stadium….seeing all the stars ⭐️ on the field…Aaron Mathew’s Carty and more…many a YMCA bud trips on a Sundays to see a doubleheader played…the south loved the Braves and still do, however do to this day feel Milwaukee’s lose….favorite Braves of all time, Aaron, Mathew’s, C Jones…..⚾️ thank you Billy

Milwaukee county stadium, a great place to see a game. Bratwurst & Beer, friendly fans. Simplicity at it`s best.

Very nice. A fine regional musical representation of that time and visual tribute that glimpses into the ending of the Brave's era in Milwaukee. Hearing Earl Gillespie and a seeing a still relatively young County Stadium are a treat. The upbeat polka veils the Braves fans' anger and heartbreak. No doubt about it, it was there. Thankfully, for Wisconsin pro sports fans during those brutal times in 1960's America, the Packers were a dynasty and the Bucks & Brewers would be arriving soon.

Me too! I'm from NY but went to school in Wisconsin. Loved going to games in County Stadium. Unfortunately, I left right before Miller Park opened. Never been there. What the Braves did was rotten! One more reason to hate them. I love Ueker, and I always root for the Brewers unless their success harms the Mets. My 2nd favorite team.

I love history and baseball and obsess about 1957. Haven't looked into the Braves leaving Milwaukee in depth. I wasn't around in 1957, but my grandfather and my uncle were big Giants fans. It breaks my heart, but I don't think there's any way they could have kept three franchises in NYC. I forgave the Giants, but NEVER the Dodgers. I wonder how many of their players are even aware they once played in Brooklyn.
