Honestly, the Wrestlemania HBK vs. Taker was every main NXT event from 2017-2019. Near falls, “shocked faces”, finisher spamming. With no real character or story reason for anything happening. In terms of how Meltzer grades matches it should be 5 stars. In my opinion, the match has good wrestling but it’s not this perfect match. The name value carried it more than the in-ring story.

I wish there was a secret tradition in Wrestling where when you retire you pick your favorite newer wrestler and make them look really really good in a match, regardless of whoever wins. Someone who you would like to see become a beacon of the sport, who you think deserves it, someone who stands out to you because the passion you see in them reminds you of why you fell in love with it in the first place, or something along those lines. I think it could do the sport and the community some good.

So many good matches in this PPV Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy Extreme Rules That 21 sec Joker Mysterio vs JBL was funny and great! HBK vs The Undertaker (Probably the Best Match ever!) The Triple Threat with Cena vs Edge vs Big Show (That AA picking both of then up was insane) Jericho being an absolute heel of heels. And the Kid Rock concert was pretty freaking cool IMO.
