That Mankind/HHH match gave me an idea for a thing like that, but it goes on the whole show. Just every so often the two guys get caught on camera fighting, interrupting backstage segments, interviews, promos. By the end of the show they are so worn out, they can barely stand and are just leaning on each other and slap each other with floppy arms.

Hi Simon. I was there in 97. Here are more points to consider about this event. This was in the Calgary stampede fairgrounds on the mountain time zone. I think it started at 5:30 pm. The crowd was pretty loose from the slew of booze being served on the grounds. The saddledome was a concrete foundation unlike modern ones that are steel framed. During the entrance and finish, the dome was vibrating. It was like taking your favorite sport and hosting a championship match in your home town. Then manipulating the match results to make the home fans the happiest. And placing the arena in a Mardi gras/carnival environment where everyone had 6 hours of prepping before the show. An hour after the show, Owen was in line with me for those Chocolate and peanut ice cream sticks.

What accidentally synergistic timing for this video to come out! Coincidentally enough, Wrestling Bios' Reliving the War video series is exactly at this point in the timeline, but since Bios had already covered Canadian Stampede prior to RtW, he had no need to upload a PPV review this Sunday, like he usually would if one happened between RtW episodes. So props Simon Miller & WhatCulture for accidentally assisting Wrestling Bios out by uploading their own Canadian Stampede review on the exact day Bios would have done so, had he already not made a video about it before.

You should do No Way Out 2009. That's the one where Edge lost the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match and his title on the same night that he entered the RAW Elimination Chamber match later on. It's so good and I know you'd get a kick out of watching him insert himself into the match because you like it when wrestlers break the rules in ways that wouldn't fly in any other sport

Whilst I would never wish injury on any wrestler, the planned WWF title match for this show was Undertaker v Ahmed Johnson. Ahmed got injured the week after that was announced so Vader was a late replacement - and it ended up being probably his best WWF match, and maybe even ‘Taker’s best one u to this point

I was only 11 years old when this PPV took place, I wasn't at the Saddledome that night but I remember reading about it in the Calgary Sun newspaper the following day; also my dad was working at the hotel some of the wrestlers were staying at. I honestly didn’t know they stopped (possibly because they’ve done so many now putting the responsibility on the viewer to know every single one might get annoying). Either way, I saw this show pop up all the time before when they were holding the polls yet it never won the final poll. Which was a shame because this was so good. So yah, don’t really care either way myself, just glad he finally got around to doing this one.
