I loved your story about the scrambled screen, I too was exactly the same! I was a WCW kid in the 90s because when Cartoon Network went off at 8pm on Sky it switched to TNT and played WCW all night, but I used to sit and listen to the scrambled Sky 1 channel to hear the commentary of WWF I was so desperate to be able to hear any content on it. This just got me thinking. I remember watching this live and it was awesome. The next day or maybe weekend, we were in the pub (which was a dodgy one that served people who were clearly under age as I definitely wasn't 18 at the time) and on the big screen they were showing Sky sports for the football which had ended and Bad Blood came on and no one changed the channel. Everyone sat there and watched that main event which I still think is the best Hell In A Cell match, everyone in there was engrossed in the action and this definitely wasn't a wrestling crowd in that pub.

My pop’s took me to this when I was a little guy! Got to go to a bunch of WWF events in St. Louis in the 90’s and early 2000’s. But hands down this one was my favorite. I can remember the event having a weird feel early on, because word had gotten around the crowd about the lose cannon. The Road warriors saved the early part of the event. But once that cell came down the whole feel changed, a crazy feeling knowing you’re about to see something you or basically no one else has ever seen. One of the greatest experience of my childhood.

Today (6/23) is the 18th anniversary of Kane taking his mask off for the first time. I remember back in 2003 being 6 years old and honestly was more afraid of maskless kane than kane with the mask. When he took off his mask his segments started to get more sadistic. After he set JR on fire that one time, I was legit scared of Kane lmao. I remember one time he was like threatening a little boy in the front row of the audience and i felt like i was that kid from how scared i was. Funny enough, The Hurricane was the one to come to his rescue and from that moment i became a huge Hurricane fan lmao

"Vinnie Mc is an underrated announcer.." I could not agree more! 👏 I got into wrestling in the late 80s when we first got Sky Channel on the telly, and they showed "Superstars" every Friday or Saturday nite. And Vince and Ventura are still my all time favorite tag team announcers. Vince was a terrific commentator, and it worked fantastically with Ventura, who always did a brilliant job rooting for the bad guys.
