My dear old Dad came back to Canada after helping to chase the Hun back to Germany and couldn't get enough of Spam. He traded his field rations to the guys who didn't like the Spam in theirs and he felt like it was first class fare! He cooked it for us with eggs and pretty much everything else when we were youngsters. I still think fondly of him whenever I see a can of Spam. Thanks for the memories guys!

Martin those fritters look amazing. If you are interested u can by a box of 4 spam fritters from Iceland for £2 I had them today and I just fell in love with them.

Looks Great, I remem when School spam fritters were cut open it was a pool of grease coming out. I love school food..this video got me thinking of Jam coconut sponge. Cheers again,

Love them Martin . From memory, the catering trade gets the spam in long round tins . They must taste mint with the bacon.

Great Vid - keeping the dream alive. My Dad's local chippy stopped doing spam fritters 20 yrs ago.... Grrrr - A word to the wise cooks - If the grease doesn't run out the corners of your mouth it's not a spam fritter - simple litmus test
