Before you dust and coat in batter put a good spread of English mustard and a thick slice of cheddar on the spam. Game changer. Trust me.

@@glamdolly30 Yes, it's batter. You add liquid to flour until the consistency is about that of single cream. Literally nobody measures for batter.

@@glamdolly30 It's beer batter, you don't need egg. You need SR flour (or flour with a bit of baking powder), beer (or soda water if you drank the beer) and seasoning to taste. Combine until you can coat something with it, then fry.
