I’m actually a fan of that analog slider. As someone who used my 3DS for hundreds of hours it always worked out well for my needs 🙂 I just ordered this and I’m super stoked! I can’t wait for it to come in! I’m trying to set up as much as I can before the device gets here so I can start playing sooner 😆

May I know what is the Rom format of all your PS1 games? Do you have a folder for each game for your PS1 in your SD card? PS1 games are notorious for having multiple bin and cue files. Wondering how you organizes them.

I have them in ".chd" format. It's a compressed version of the bin and cue all into one and it saves space. There are programs to do the conversion. I just found an archive online of chd files. Another option is to use CDmage if yuo already have a big collection of games with bin and cue files. CDmage is good for games that have multiple cue files. It will put them into one. SO you have 1 bin and 1 cue.

I am having a problem with the flycast emulator that I installed. When I open the emulator and am in the main menu of the emulator I am pressing up and down on the d pad, touching on the screen, and am even pressing on the buttons and nothing is working. What could be the problem?

So I just got mine a few days ago. Coming from doing this on android devices I still run into the same annoying issues. For example, the built in front end is nice and smooth(if they had themes for it would be nice) and it loads with the emulators and retro cores very well but...... It does not have Nintendo DS as a system. There are other systems missing off of the list. Also the PSP portion does not pick up my .cso files. The other option is to use DIG with the card panels theme (nice by the way). But the issue with DIG is that is has issues with RetroArch. I can load Dreamcast games through the built in front end via retro arch flycast and it works great. Doing the same thing from DIG causes arch to freeze up or load weird. So in the end you get one front end that was put together well but is just missing elements and another with more options but also more problems. I will just hope for a good OTA.

updating the firmware and going through setup after allows a different version of dolphin to be installed. It is a lot more stasble and youll get better results if you havent done so.

@@rightspritegaming after the Firmware update, you must go to settings and go through the first time setup again. There should be a new dolphin icon that looks a little different on the page where you preinstall Emulators

Yeah, budget and basically not it's main intended use as retro games do not need use touch screen, but as explained in the video it does have its uses regardless.

I know im late here but will it work with a capture card (cheap one) and obs on a sperate pc? I need a device to run the emulation since my mini pc is very weak. Will it work to record gameplay off the rp2+? And will it record internal audio? Because those screen recording apps dont do it

You would need the stand alone staturn emulator Yaba sanshrio 2 , that runs better then retro arc for saturn games, won't be able to tell you how too get roms , through ripping your disc using deamon tools on the pc is all good and converting them to chd files

My Retro Arch is a really basic set of menus, I don't have the nice layout that is shown here... I've tried to search through the settings to see does something just need ticked... But can't figure out how to get that cool layout... Can anyone help?

Can you use left analog stick in yaba sanshiro? I use yaba sanshiro 2 the latest but the analog is inactive for every game. The same problem is with redream. Only the dpad works.

im a big noob when it comes to emulation and stuff like that but im having trouble with mine. i went through the initial setup, i inserted a 128gb sd card and formatted it on the device to allow for more storage. but when i remove the sd card and put it into my computer to put roms on the card, it makes me reformat it to use it, and then i keep going through a loop of reformatting it LOL anyone know what im doing wrong? ps i know im stupid LOL

@@rightspritegaming funny enough. All I did was change the file extension to the cso files to .iso. It picks up the games and they surprisingly still play even when changing the file extension. It turns out I like Retroids front end better. All they need is some updates to it.

Nice video, I am new to all this. I have a query, would an SD card with Elec351 2.0 with thousands of games on it work on the Retroid Pocket 2 Plus ? I believe it would read all the ROMS okay, but not totally sure. If anyone could advise thanks. ( I just bought a RG351p, and ordered an SD Card with Elec351 2.0 on it, but the the Retroid 2 plus looks a better system for sure, but does thave any games preloaded from what I know, hence the question)

You can pull those games off that card and load them onto the RP2+ but you can’t use Elec. RP2 is android based. Elec is Linux based.

In other words, they sell a weak system to emulate Snes and N64(not all games) and you have to setup everything to start playing games that you download by yourself, the unique think this game has is emulators. Kkkkk

It's is capable of playing n64 games and plays dreamcast games very well that because of the campatible emulator, with N64 games it's all test and trail with different emulators, its down to dedication for someone to design one specific for this system. Retro Handhelds is a great place to gwt more info in configuring emulators to get further compatible games. Due to licensing I and unable to to direct download links to rom sets.

got mine, piece of crap. Love how it doesn't read SD cards without you having to format those, when then the Retroid is able to read them, but not your other devices. Also, comes completely unprepared with all and nobody has guides out for casual gamers in terms of getting bios etc, complete shit show. Thx got Mister Fpga is going to continue with PS2 upwards now that they have Sega Saturn running since a few days, will probably require a new devices but man is that better than this half-baked shit.
