Hey there. Line3ds for 3ds and then Suyu is basically Yuzu but with a new name but if you dig you will find the last version of Yuzu.

Took me about two n a half weeks to set it up from scratch. Downloaded everything on the system itself. Did not use a PC and it is amazing. Ps2 and gamecube running at 3x resolution and switch. Most at 1x or 0.75. This device is incredible.

@johnnymesk8755 nope. Just internal memory SD card and an unzipper app. Then, just move everything to its correct folder with file manager. It's a bit tedious, but it works.

Hey you can't use the SD card structure (file systems etc) but you can find the roms and copy them over to the Retroid.

I sooo debated the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro when it came out but now the 5 is about to come out.... and the thing is I'm not sure I need even the Pocket 5 either as I use a lot of modded OG hw for most of what I play.

Hehe. Ya that's your call. What I can say so far is that the Mini performs really well and with that extra ram and Yuzu/Suyu working on the 5 (mini has Android 10 which isn't compatible) it's looking like it's going to be a killer device!

I've had my Retroid 4 pro for a few months now. I spent 2 weeks setting it up and learning as I'm completely new to the hobby. I'm about read to clear my 1 TB and start fresh. Dajisho has a weird error when pressing a Ps2 game is launches another menu making me pick the game twice. I then tried Emulation Station and will probably use their rom folders from now on. So much customizing and trying to figure things out! I love it and hate it. If only I could find a place to download complete rom sets!? I want to be able to download the entire rom set for each system and Pirate bay and few other sites are soooo slow to download from even with my fast internet. I'm still enjoying a ton of great games and truly think this is the best thing I've bought in over ten years. It does it all

Hey there, the play store version of AetherSX2 does that. NetherSX2 shouldnt though. I have a new Android guide in the works that will give an updated PS2 setup. I still prefer Daijisho but I know alot of my KZbinr friends prefer Emulation Station. As far as Romsets go... google "NES [your chosen system] romset archive" you should find what you're looking for ;-) dont tell anyone i told you though...

@@adinwalls trying on Mac so you know how that goes. Device won’t show up. Installed MacDroid, it was showing rp4pro and infernal combined so I said screw if and just plugged in the memory card. I selected File Transfer on the rp4 and yeah. Worked on my PC though but my roms are on a Mac so I really don’t want to spend the hours dumping to a pc just to transfer over. A simple SSH would be cool, I’ve done it with other handhelds, so far everything is extra complicated with RP4pro

Ooooh this setup has been a while but Odin tools is an Android APK which you need to install. So navigate here on your Retroid device: github.com/langerhans/OdinTools/releases - download the release ending in .apk and install it

Please tell me, Crash of the Titans took place, it reached the end of episode 7, the cutscene was supposed to start, but the game crashed with a blue screen, such an error came out. I'll attach a screenshot Things to try: verify and possibly re-dump your ISO (CRC not recognized) The blue screen pops up only in one place of the game, I tried to replay the level. What should I do about it? Is it with the image of the game of trouble?

Just google if there is a persistent issue with that game. But I had an issue with God of War 2 where the game kept crashing at a specific point in the game. I had to find a better encoded ROM and my savestate didn't work so I played through the game again!

My advice is to start with one system. Forget about Daijisho. Just download one emulator and get started.

Hmmm I haven’t noticed but that is a possibility. You should report the issue to Retroid so they can look into it for their next update.

It's probably only works for games that uses the vibration feature, some GameCube and PS2 games not all. All retro games that came before doesn't use the feature, not sure about Switch since I've never played it.

Oh gosh I'm not sure factory reset was the right move. Once it's done check for updates. Once you're fully updated do the setup wizard.

my PS2 games keep crashing with any of those versions 3668 and 4248 so far I have try GOW and Lego Batman both are .ISO format. GOW crashed when I was fighting Hydra and Lego Batman crashed during the fight with two face. any ideas. I am using Vulkan, 1.75x. I also tried under clocking and other changes and got the same results. others emulator like PPSSPP work fine, fan was set on smart and High Permormance.

Hey there. The only thing I would change is some of the emulators. I would use Dolphin for Handheld for GameCube and for 3DS I haven’t tested Canary on the 2S so if it doesn’t work try Citra MMJ. And use a lower resolution output in the settings of most of my emulator setups.

Ilthe issu is only with the left stick ,is like its using also the l1 and l2 buttons including the left analog stick. It makes movement difficult playing games in the dolphin emulator( the reason why i bought this console the first place)

Hey there. You don’t have to do all of these things. My advice is to find a system you want to play like Gameboy advance. Find out how to set up that one system. And move on from there

I feel so left out lol nether classic is based on 3668 an has better compatability in general ,nether 1.7 is based on 4248 and thats better for games that use the snowblind engine, like campions of norraad and baldurs gate dark alliance but will break other games like sly cooper.

Help! I bought a 1tb sandisk sdcard for this and the retroid pocket 4 pro tells me it can't use the card. I've formatted it on my pc as exfat and run a test on it, it's a legit card with the full space, however the 4 pro still tells me it can't use it. WHY?? I spent $80 on this sdcard.

Would have been easier if you just showed nstalling the emulator apps over obtanium. Less steps. You didn't show the feature in OdinTools where you can set your controller per app/emulator. Also you didn't set to kill the running emulators in daijisho and had to kill them manually each start of a new game.

This handheld is VERY tempting but Android is my major deterrent. Give me a Linux or Windows based device.

The setup is frustrating for sure but once it’s done I much prefer it to Linux. Although I still prefer Linux on lower end devices.

Why is this even a issue? Its practically a mini PC. Most of the apps you install from the GooglePlay Store. Etc. Maybe if you could explain the biggest/major issue with using Android then i could see where youre coming from, but i found it very intuitive, and obvious. Or at least, there wasnt any moment where i was thinking, "wow how do i install this? or how do i start my emulator up after ive moved games?", Everything is very point and click.

Would have been easier if you just showed nstalling the emulator apps over obtanium. Less steps. You didn't show the feature in OdinTools where you can set your controller per app/emulator. Also you didn't set to kill the running emulators in daijisho and had to kill them manually each start of a new game.
