Great discussion here. I saw a copy of this at a local retro game store today for $135 CAD. I’m glad I decided to pass on it. I think Silent Hill Shattered Memories is the way to go for horror games on the Nintendo Wii.

Would be good to see a new game based on this movie. Definitely has to stay as a first person game and they would need to improve on the motion controller too, also imagine the potential for good scares with the graphic potential we have now. have you done a video on Silent Hill Shattered Memories? This game reminds me a lot of it.

A new game now in first person would be great! As long as they don’t mess it up like the Blair Witch game for a couple years ago. I have never played Shattered Memories and probably never will due to the price tag lol

@@RETROORDIE yeah, the Blair Witch was disappointing for sure. It’s crazy how much the price has gone up for SH shattered memories $200-$300 on PS2, the wii version being a little more affordable at around $80. It’s just a decent game, definitely a collectible though

Better off playing the Siren games on PS2 or PS3 if you want a good Japanese horror experience. I'm not sure how a dev could make a good game based on Ju-On. Doesn't seem geared towards something combat focused like classic RE. Maybe a VR game would work? Wanna know how to scare off the curse ghosts? Show them a copy of Ride to Hell: Retribution or Aliens Colonial Marines. The horror...

I really liked Siren when I streamed it last year. I will definitely be doing a game review on it this year.

The $100 price tag has NOTHING to do with the quality of the game. It’s pretty rare; that’s about all it has going for it.

@@RETROORDIE “Resell Robin” on KZbin lists it among 10 “Hidden Gems” on the Wii and describes it as “one of my favorite Wii games.” (I’m trying to figure out what the fuss is. Sealed copy just sold @ $300).
