Getting the Astra Mk4 Ready For The MOT

I have a few repairs on this Vauxhall Astra G (mk4) to get it ready for the annual MOT test. I have to refit the front bumper cover that had broken wheel arch lugs and I also need to replace a couple of bulbs.

Have a lovely time in Greeece, its bloody hot there ! :) Would you believe I shook hands with Ronald Fraser in the Domestic Airport at Athens once ? He was leaning up against the check in counter with that familiar kind of dissinterested look, and I thanked him for the many hours of entertainment he had given me. Why do they make car bulbs so difficult to access. No always the last jobs that cause biggest probs,at least you found before Mot if garage have to do always so expensive when you can’t bring car home. So well done on that one as always

Without the splitter under the bumper it's quite useful you can change the oil without getting it on ramp's.

At least it's not raining. Im waiting for a second hand part from Lithuania for my cinquecento.... it's taking a week to get here and the delivery costs more than the part🙄 they must be walking from there to here 😁👍🇮🇪 No new part is available anywhere so this is my only option.

Front fog lights are not part of the MOT unless your vehicle was registered after 1st March 2018

So did it pass, Martin?. We have a wof here, basically a mot. They give the paperwork for it to you and it has a checklist of what they look at on it and they tick the boxes on it when they check an item so what I do is use that checklist when I check my vehicle just before wof time.

It's a 2 part cold weld, you have the putty and the hardener, which you mix together.
